I don't deny that some foods are associated with certain health outcomes, and that increasing intake of certain micro and macro nutrients could be beneficial for some groups. But can we talk about increasing intake of those things without making people terrified of other foods?
The 4 page article has one three measly sentences mentioning risk for "restrictive eating disorders", which is also not accurate since moralizing food and dichotomizing into good and bad categories increases risk for a ALL EDs.
If any eating disorder professionals want a reason to bang their head against a wall, check out this new article in the latest edition of APA'S monitor on psychology. Can we all please agree to abolish this phrase??
New paper from our team: Can ML identify which adolescents benefit most from school-based mindfulness?
In 8,376 students (MYRIAD trial), models detected statistically significant but clinically negligible differential effects (d β .07β.08).

Finally, we summarize potential temporal and reciprocal pathways among social media use, poor sleep, and disordered eating.
We then highlight shared risk factors, maintaining factors, and modulators among all three variables of interest, as well introduce new potential mediators and moderators for future research to examine.
We first review the emprical research exploring each two-way relationship (poor sleep + disordered eating, social media use + poor sleep, social media use + disordered eating).
Do you study sleep, disordered eating, and/or social media? Ever wondered about the interrelationships among all three? Me too! In our new narrative review led by Dr. Sylvia Cerolini, we summarize what we know and what we don't: doi.org/10.1080/2832...
Hi all, it's that time of year again. I'm looking for guest lecturers for my undergrad Psych Disorders course in the spring. I'd especially love folks with expertise in bipolar disorders, borderline, substance use, ADHD/autism, and basically anything that is stigmatized or misunderstood.

When βOCDβ is used as an adjective, it trivializes and invalidates the real suffering and courage of people living with this serious and debilitating condition.

If the annual food insecurity survey is canceled - the US has no way to monitor how often this experience is happening.
1 in 5 children in Kentucky are food insecure (do not have enough to eat). This is a 48% rise in two years.
