HAMSTER WHEEL IN MY HEAD,

In this William Geise illustrated ad, the title "Computer Graphics" appears up top, being cast from a giant Apple II monitor on an iceburg; the casts are a gradiant from purple to orange to yellow to green to blue to purple again, hewing towards neon tones. From the tan Amdek monitor flies a red biplane, a parachuting penguin, and a leaping unicorn; dolphins jump from the ice into the monitor. Around the iceberg, a sea otter peeks up, a penguin tap-dances, and a whale tale lifts a unicorn on a floe. The monitor is sitting on a giant Apple II. Down below, breathless text describes three different programming packages: "For the artist: Special Effects by David Lubar and Mark Pelezarski. Paint on your computer in over 100 colors with 96 different brushes!" "For the designer: The Complete Graphics System II by Mark Pelezarski. Everythign needed for computer-aided design." "For the programmer: The Graphics Magician by Mark Pelezarski, David Lubar, and Chris Joehumson. Add fast, smooth animation and hundreds of pictures to your programs." In the bottom left, the penguin software logo appears next to ordering information, with a sunfish floating to its left; at the very bottom it says, "All Penguin applications products are now on unprotected disks for your convenience."
COMPUTER GRPAHICS
I can't speak to the accuracy of that, just that that's what she told us. Also some of the nuns sang along in Irish. And also this happened in 1995.
So I guess this cleanup is motivated by wanting to help anyone who's trying to apply for proof of citizenship, but also not wanting to have any more of these conversations.
The worst part of the conversation with anyone from other branches of the family is that first they want to know who my mother is, and as soon as I tell them, the conversation is pretty much over. Usually. As if I picked her.
I know I should really care more, but you have to understand that I've done the entire tree as far as it goes back. No duplicate people entries (that I know of), which is a continual hazard with endogamous communities. It didn't occur to me that anyone still cared about more recent stuff like me.
I could swear that back in the day it was easy to merge info but I think they disabled that because it was too easy to create a complete clusterfuck? Except I was using that feature. Doing it manually just does not interest me.
This is already wild from the side of having known all this genealogical info pretty well for 20 years plus having dna. I can't imagine trying to start research from scratch now. It did inspire me to actually start cleaning up my public tree, though.
I don't even have the original order yet, so I don't know what info might be on those records, though. Probably another week at least before I get it. But given how long it takes i might as well order that one before I know if it's even going to pan out.
Can't believe that two weeks ago I almost ordered a record because I was ordering a bunch from there, but didn't because I wasn't expecting to apply for proof of citizenship for myself so it was just for curiosity, and now I'm probably going to need that one.
Just casually telling us after that extremely baffling experience that actually all the songs we learned were politically coded because otherwise they would have been banned.
Look, almost nothing has given me whiplash like the time my hs choir teacher didn't tell us the backstory of any of the fun Irish songs we were learning, then took us to a senior home to perform. The seniors? Bored. The staff? 60-80-something Irish nuns and they were crying. One was full on sobbing.
Post your favorite Lord of the Rings character. Wrong answers only.
What's your sign?
Even on Murder She Wrote Jessica sold other rights to her books (not that I think most people paid attention to that).
There's also a black one, but I guess I don't know if that one is really in stock. I'm so used to everything I like getting discontinued.

The appliance store originally offered it to me because it was in stock (I live on an island) but then they seemed confused when I actually wanted to buy it. It's this one

I just got a new all dial washer to replace a broken "smart" one and it's been amazing.
I know he got a replacement for the white one that broke from a fan, and I think they also gave him a rainbow one?
I'm from North Dakota, and I'll just leave it at that.
I mean...
Look, it's a sitcom to me.
What sitcom house would you want to move into?
I mean, so does Alex Horne.
Brett Goldstein
There are a lot of stories I could tell that I can't post on here, but a lot of times the reaction I get is something like "she did what? What? How do you even?" and, well, she's always been like this.
And I don't even know where she lives for sure? We've been nc for many years. The rest of the family also went nc with her several years ago. I can't believe I'm going to have to explain all this officially (without any of these details because they don't care).
