Today would have been my dadβs 80th birthday. We lost him almost 20 years ago, but he has always been my role model as a father.
Iβm just going with yours. Cooper, far more than Tolkien or Lewis, set my childhood expectations of what fantasy should evoke. Ten-year-old me *really* wanted to be discovered as an Old One.
This is why I have always thought 2 is correct. (And contra what most people in this thread have said, I have always assumed 2 and never really considered 1.) The singer doesnβt want to change anybodyβs charming regional characteristics. He wants them to be closer, with increased Vitamin D uptake.
That one was stronger, but probably felt less strong in NYC because it was farther away. The 2011 was a 5.8 with epicenter in VA, and this was a 4.7 with epicenter in NJ.
Pretty sure the last time this happened was when we worked together and we all spilled out into that park by the courthouse.

I donβt even know what being bad at the vice presidency would look like. Complete inertia is basically the job description.
So close to a rare immaculate grid. Just couldnβt think of someone who played for both TOR and STL.
It wasnβt just student-run; it was student-_created_. That cafe opened during my time at NCF, and it was designed by a team of students as a study in business, with a loan that the cafe was then to repay. The politicians who paint a false image of the school as a socialist wasteland might take note.
As a New College alumnus, I am proud of these students for keeping the flame of academic freedom alive. Donβt back down, kids.
And he dances, and he yells;
Keeping time, time, time,
In a sort of Punic rhyme
Or we meant what we said: we donβt find subtitles distractingβon any medium. FWIW, I eschew video-based social media. I prefer to read things in addition to hearing them, given the choice, whether in my own language or not. The insistence that social media is why people like subtitles is odd to me.
There is an option in Settings to turn off βModern Comments.β And that will take you back to old comments. (Although there is also an ominous warning that someday the ability to turn off Modern Comments will be taken away.)
Thank you, but I am here for all the Vogon poetry.
This suggests that when you watch a film in a language other than your own, you canβt experience the film as the director intended. I watch a lot of non-English stuff, which I suppose is one reason subtitles donβt register as a distraction to me.
