The thing about culture wars and the accuser/defender of the latest injustice/wokery, much like when my 3 and 5 year old fight, it very much takes both parties and eventually someone will soil themselves

Starmer warned cabinet against βoverly deferentialβ relations with devolved governments
I just can't get my head around the hypocrisy of Welsh Labour on this. When the Tories did it, they rightly stood up to defend the institution we have, time and time again, voted for and strengthened with more powers. Now their own party does it and it's bragging about he'd never call you luv. Shame
BREAKING - Big Story
A memo from Keir Starmer to all members of the UK Gov Cabinet has been leaked.

Labour certainly won't after doing (partially) the right thing in Wales because the immediate impact is the end of 100 years plus of party dominance.
Man alive we need it gone though.
Anyone clock what Mann finished on for tackles. I swear I saw a graphic saying 30 on about 65/70 mins. Did he get close to the 38 record?
Ken though

Cardiff turned up on Friday night ready to avoid being bullied by Leinster and scrap it out in tough weather.
And they did just that.

Landscape ecological restoration. It can be done but we need to get a move on. This is Carrifran where the sheep were removed to allow this native woodland to take over.
I think i just heard a tawny owl call in Llanishen park. Never heard that before.
The wetter team on the night won
Same has always been true of red/blue/orange/green/whatever.
And woukd it be better if it was STV. Yes. No arguments. I don't think they'd be there in as big numbers anyway.
Like, I don't want them to be there personally, and I hope there's little to no ground conceded on their ugly stuff
BUT
A system that just ignores the proportion of people voting for THAT is setting itself up for an ugly, ugly future.
For it's flaws in the PR system enacted (and they are massive) the likely outcome of Senedd election giving a result that obliges legislature to deal with Reform in a grown up way instead of FPTP constituency based fingers in ears is an unexpected positive. I think... Just about...
A worthwhile read but I disagree. The problem with federal and confederal models first is it doesn't adequately address the enormous power disparities in those relationships. Wales should choose relationships for itself. Not because of the prior existence of the state we recognise screws us over.
Gawain the green knight opening a letter sealed with wax
Little Alex Horne in his studio chair with the caption "so a simple task: land a fair blow anywhere on the green knight. One year later meet him at the green chapel, receive the same blow yourself."
A cut to a wider shot showing Greg Davies in his throne turning to Little Alex Horne subtitled "Well surely no one just ran up and whanged his head clean off."
Cut back to Little Alex Horne subtitled "Let's see Gawain first."
Looks like the original has been swept away by the sands of time.
Why the WRUβs plans to cut a region could cost a generation of player βοΈAndy Jones
Contraction might strengthen first teams in the short term. But development is a long game. The real question is not who plays next season. It is who is ready in three yearsβ time βοΈAndy Jones wp.me/p8Mk4U-1fF6
Just look up Shane Williams, then you'll be a Welsh fan. The most exciting individual player this completely biased Welshman can think of.
He's been catching loads of strays around being in team, but it's so early doors for him in terms of cap numbers that it feels inevitable to me his levels are going to go up. What a good type of player for attritional games.
There was a clear as day example of exactly this in France game. Guess it's just on the "we'd blow up at every breakdown if we policed everything" list at the moment. Feels really crucial to their ability to score here though. And a pretty fundamental rule to mauls working as intended as a contest
I'd rather we make that mistake and keep playing with this urgency.
For the timestamp:

I think if I was a half back pairing i'd ask to be subbed on at the same time as Beirne
Have just seen the team coming to play Wales
