Back when Twilight was the best thing ever (and it still is) I was a teenager living in Washington but originally from Arizona—basically Bella Swan minus the sparkly vampires and angsty werewolves and all I got was a lot of rain and a vitamin d deficiency.

I remember when I first started my MFA in Creative Writing, I was convinced I’d never write poetry—I was strictly a fiction writer! Two years later, poetry has become one of my favorite forms of writing ✍🏻

A positive and engaging book. It encourages connection, to use empathy and find common ground to bridge divides and combat the shared sense of hopelessness, ultimately inspiring action to improve our communities together.
