The end of S2E1 of One Piece has the best "guy made of rubber punches through guy made of smoke" effects I've ever seen.
Making a ):( face as wishlisted game after wishlisted game turns out to contain AI content.
Something something gambling habit.
This isn't exactly buyer's remorse, and as someone not fully into the audiophile hobby I have no plans to upgrade down the line so this purchase should outlast me, but whenever I buy audio stuff I'm always reminded of the people who stuck free earbuds into Solo cups to make "speakers".
functionality--EQ, gain control and remote input switching--and it's handy having everything on one app, but it's not like there isn't EQ on my audio player, or gain control on my amp's remote, or that getting up to push a button to switch input is a huge hardship.
Ran some music through the new DAC--a Schiit Mimir--last night and it's incredible. Our speakers--Elac Debut 2.0 towers--have never sounded so good.
I do wonder about attaching a price tag to a device that simply "makes sound sound better". I bought the Forkbeard module to add wireless--
Is the game actually good or is it just constantly giving you little tasks and patting you on the head when you complete them, temporarily slaking your perpetual longing for recognition?
This is an extremely slippery slope.

Now he wants to teach the world how to solve them.
For @newyorker I spoke to Wardle about his new project, Parseword, out today: www.newyorker.com/culture/the-...

Nobody mentioned Tubular Bells either.
Someone on Threads asked for people to mention songs where the lyrics announce what is happening or about to happen in the song, and mate, if it doesn't have a chipmunk- "let the beat drop" I don't want to know about it.

These posts brought to you by trying to play The Division while not having a clue what I was doing the last time I played it, years ago.
I hate how most games really have no easy on-road for returning players. Out-of-game tutorials--like, say, Half-Life's hazard course--might have fallen out of fashion, but maybe a sandbox where you can reacquaint yourself with the game without consequence? I'm tired of having to start over from the

World book day, innit, so here's mine.

Unfortunately I, uh, blew up my loco's engine on my first contract. Don't apply full throttle while braked, kids.
It's also had a major graphical upgrade including--and this is amazing because it's always been part of the DV experience in VR-- getting rid of the tree branches that clip into the cabin. Branches now bend realistically as if the locomotive is pushing through them! The *real* next gen is here!
