BREAKING: Trump deploys a Marine Expeditionary Unit to Iran. About 2,500 Marines, armored infantry, artillery, and an amphibious assault ship are moving into a war already spiraling.

If this isn’t pre-staging for boots on the ground, what is?

And the way Jen Psaki is dragging Trump for filth 🔥

The US-Israel war is costing US tax payers an average of 2 billion per day; if you extend that to 365 days, and that's nearly $730 billion a year, roughly the entire US defense budget on a single war. And that's just the direct US military spending.

Trump Knew the Risk of Iran Blocking the Strait of Hormuz. He Still Went to War. The president told his White House team that Tehran would likely capitulate before closing the strait, the world’s most vital shipping lane.

CNN: Trump underestimated problem of Hormuz
Trump: FAKE NEWZ!!
WSJ: Trump's advisors didn't underestimate the problem, Trump kept the smart ones out of the room and ignored what contrary advice he got

E. Jean Carroll, one of my personal heroes, took on Trump and won.

She’s one of the bravest people I’ve met.

She shared some thoughts on Trump and Epstein’s awful friendship.

First Amendment violation, Brendan.

I wonder if a class-action lawsuit (with 320 million of us being the injured class) might change your mind.

Do this and ALL of us will see you in court.

It is important that our Committee conducts a serious and thorough investigation in the Epstein case.

I look forward to speaking with Tova Noel, who was the last person to see Jeffrey Epstein alive. We have lots of questions.

Turkish-owned ship passes through Strait of Hormuz after Iran grants permission - Turkish Minute A Turkish-owned ship passed through the Strait of Hormuz after Turkey secured permission from Iranian authorities, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu told Turkish media on Thurs...

🤔 When Trump took time out from golf to beg other nations to send war ships so oil tankers could pass, is Trump unaware that other countries are negotiating with Iran? (Like Obama did.) Is the “select” news coverage supposed to “contain” Trump? If so, 25th A now

An important thread. But something is missing.

The refusal of Republicans to hold Trump accountable AND ALSO to exercise the least little responsibility on confirmations would have mitigated this risk.

Joni Ernst, Thom Tillis, Murkowski and Collins all KNEW Whiskey Pete would push war crimes.

He pulled out of the agreement that Obama spent 2 years negotiating with Iran because he hates Obama. Now he's going to war with Iran and attempting to get the same deal that Obama had negotiated.😠

Trump canceled the historic deal Obama spent 2yrs negotiating with Iran. Trump said he'd easily get a better deal. He sent his son-in-law & a donor to negotiate. His genocide-not-ceasefire pal, Netanyahu, wanted to kill the Ayatollah, so they bombed Iran. He loves bombs. That's what happened.

This is Trump enjoying his golf club today as U.S. troops that he deployed to the Middle East remain in harm’s way.

Trump spent nearly 6 hours there. The White House called it his “Executive Time.”

I know everyone lies in wars but there is no way Iran fired missiles at Turkey and simultaneously allowed Turkish boats to ship oil through Hormuz. It’s in Israeli interests to get Turkey involved in its illegal war.

Map of the ME showing the two straits

Yemen’s Houthis have announced they’ll be joining the war in support of Iran shortly. Analysts expect them to shut down another strait, Bab El-Mandeb, which will close the Suez Canal. The global economy hangs by a thread.

WASHINGTON-Before the U.S. went to war, Gen. Dan Caine, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told President Trump that an American attack could prompt Iran to close the Strait of Hormuz.
Caine said in several briefings that U.S. officials had long believed Iran would deploy mines, drones and missiles to close the world's most vital shipping lane, according to people with knowledge of the discussions.
Trump acknowledged the risk, these people said, but moved forward with the most consequential foreign-policy decision of his two presidencies. He told his team that Tehran would likely capitulate before closing the strait-and even if Iran tried, the U.S. military could handle it.
Now, two weeks into the war, Iran's leaders have refused to back down, and the Strait of Hormuz has emerged as Tehran's most potent leverage point.

This moment from Feb 2025 may go down as one of the most prescient exchanges in modern diplomatic history. Zelenskyy warned Trump that while the United States may feel protected by an ocean today, a time could come when America would need help in war. Trump scolded him instead.

If Joe Biden's son-in-law was flying around the Middle East as an unofficial Secretary of State while also working on business deals for his company with the same people he was meeting with on behalf of the US government, I'm pretty sure it would be a bigger story 🤔

This is what Iran's leaders do.

Let’s understand why Trump is refusing Ukraine’s offer of drone help. 1) Zelenskyy would want restoration of sanctions against Putin. 2) Dumb and Dumber (Eric and Jr) are investing in a drone company. How many troops will die needlessly before they are out from behind the curve? All for greed!
