I urge you to oppose all ICE expansion funding in FY2026 and reject further investment in a system that continues to endanger all our lives, and the constitutional fabric that holds our country together.

Congress must act now to stop further harm, rein in rogue-enforcement agencies, and protect families.
This funding fuels fears, family separation, and deadly outcomes rather than safety accountability.
Instead, it has emboldened abusive enforcement practices that harm all immigrants, both undocumented and those with legal status, as well as U.S. citizens, including former combat veterans and citizens of Indigenous nations, on whose land the United States sits.
What we are seeing across the country -- including the killing of Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti -- is unacceptable and dangerous. DHS has already received unprecedented levels of funding, yet that money has not made our communities safer.
And here's a text copy, so you can just copy and paste:
As one of your voters, I urge you to oppose any additional funding for ICE detention camps, detention expansion, or increased enforcement in the FY2026 Homeland Security appropriations bill.

The country is a trash fire, but doing something about it helps us feel a little less exhausted and powerless. The Senate is considering a funding bill for ICE. Tell them "No" so loud they can't ignore it!

An icon of a haloed man in robes is painted reading from an open book. The book is held in both hands, but the fingers of the right hand are also holding a single-edged dagger, point up.
This is really interesting. It certainly sounds like a defensive stress response.

Here is a photo of a trans non-binary biologist (me) holding a bird (Eastern Towhee) that is likely a bilateral gynandromorph-- a fusion of cells with female-type chromosomes and cells with male-type chromosomes in one bird!

Reminder that part of this project is going to rest on trying to convince you that you did not see what you saw, you didnβt hear what you heard, it didnβt mean what you thought it meant, it didnβt even happen
Theyβve already been doing that, for years, and theyβve had a lot of help
These are *embroidered* sculptures of fungi. They're incredibly lifelike!

Despite todays outrageous injustice, we're still going to be fighting for the climate, wildlife, our national parks and public lands, social justice, democracy and above all, future generations.
If you need a break
Take it
But never give up
