There's a lot of misinformation out there about COVID. We like to pretend that it's only uneducated people who fall for it, but initial "inside the house" misinfo around the denial of aerosol transmission is now motivating minimization of the consequences of that error.

COVID is an infection acquired via the respiratory route, primarily transmitted via inhalation of infectious aerosols. That doesn't mean it's just a respiratory infection.
Similarly, no longer having respiratory symptoms doesn't mean you've cleared the infection.

Our medical system WAS at a breaking point. This is everything. When I had surgery in 2024, ~20% of the hospital beds were empty. I asked if the beds would be full with more staffing, I was told ABSOLUTELY.
