In an indescribable way, America is punishing itself. It wasn’t planned by each individual Trump voter, but it happened as an involuntary way of shaking up America’s complacency. I don’t believe in predestination, but there is an order to the way civilization proceeds.
Trump never keeps his word. He makes things worse than what he promised.
The Arab Muslim world of the Middle East never accepted the notion of Israel as a Jewish State. After a hundred or so years, Israel gave up trying to find a compromise. It’s understandable.
Don’t refer to them as “troops”. That treats individual human beings as a monolithic blob.
I see Trump’s decisions as more malicious than inept. “Inept” figures in, but the driving force is intentional.
Nothing is ever a panacea. Robert McNamara had poor judgment. The Dulles brothers were educated, but made poor decisions. At the very origin of Vietnam was John Foster Dulles. JFK had good judgment, so he was assassinated. Trump is out and out cavalier about the pain felt by other people.

Trump lies. He only lies. We already know Trump does things for his own purposes. He IS a survivor, so he maneuvers in such ways as to protect himself.

Trump and Miller are intractable. They cannot be dealt with. They are outrageous and we cannot stop them.
