This year marked my 1st win & 3rd nomination for the University of Denver's Faculty Career Champion award + my 2nd nomination for the Academic Advising Award for Excellence. What has always made these special is that students are the ones who voluntarily nominate faculty. 2/2
The pressures and attacks on higher education in recent years have made me question a few times whether I should continue. But every time, it's been the students who energize, teach & inspire me to stay the course & truly appreciate the privilege of being a teacher. 1/2
