Constitutional amendment to launch billionaires into the sun.
Another news article that doesn't understand the difference between a presidential library which, by statute, is a physical, federal archival depository, and a presidential foundation, which is a private organization under no obligation to build anything, including a presidential library.

ICE confirms that the infamous Camp East Montana will NOT be shut down. Instead, they're giving the contract wholly to Amentum, previously the subcontractor for Acquisition Logistics, the tiny VA military contractor which inexplicably got a $1.2 billion contract.

A foreign hacker likely has the Epstein Files.
The best way to prevent blackmail of government officials, such as trump and Howard Lutnick, would be for AG Pam Bondi to stop the cover up and release all the Epstein Files as required by law.

In 1990, when Congress created a protection for migrant children subject to abuse, it didn't anticipate backlogs would get bad enough that beneficiaries would wait years for a visa, and so never thought to explicitly bar deportation for winners.
Today the BIA greenlit deportation in that situation.

yeah the goal is class extraction, not efficiency. Efficiency is honestly an afterthought, yet it's not portrayed that way in the business press.
I've always been kind of obsessed with U.S. fake efficiency. U.S. corporate power especially models itself as a textbook efficient but it's mostly people wiggling their mouses and hosting purposeless meetings for hours on end to meet arbitrary metrics to no useful end. A country of artifice.
not to say that there aren't efficiency improvements had through automation, but terrible people layering half-cooked automation onto already broken workflows full of people obsessed with appearing productive in a country obsessed with artifice is going to have some curious outcomes
there was also a Stanford study that found that a surge in AI slop by lazy people actually created significantly more work for others who had to decipher and correct it
this "I'm being efficient" (but not really) vibes well with the American obsession with artifice and appearing productive

It is unclear whether one particular photo โ or the sum total of the shots on March 2 โ led to consternation among Hegsethโs staff. When photographers showed up to the Pentagon for the next briefing on March 4 they were not allowed in the building.
Reminder that the Pentagon press corps is a bunch of online ideological cronies like Laura Loomer and Matt Gaetz. Now, they won't even allow neutral photographers.

Reports that Iranโs regional proxies are holding back from full escalation show how close the region is to a wider war. Restraint from groups like Hezbollah and others may be the only thin line preventing a multi-front conflict that could engulf the entire Middle East.
โPer the analysis by Open the Books, in September, the Pentagon spent $2 million on Alaskan king crab, $6.9 million on lobster tail, $15.1 million on ribeye steak, and $1 million on salmon.โ
how do you not do this before launching a war on iran
