Apparently a new part of my writing process involves an absolute mad dash to write out a synopsis looking outline to see if the WIP will reach flow state

2.5k words in and I think we have a winner

Advocacy Action Center I know you’re busy, but helping oppose this bill will be less time-consuming and expensive than trying to comply with it if it passes. Will you take five minutes to express your concern? Email the committee here

Hey Wisconsin! A pretty bad bill passed the House and is now being considered in the Senate. WI-AB961 would require bookselling websites to put warning labels on books whose content is considered to meet certain arbitrary criteria. The American Booksellers Association has created a resource to help

Oh interesting! That would be quite a challenge indeed! #kidlitchat

I have a handful of ideas! Just need to be able to sit down and focus on writing them all instead of rushing to get a full book done #kidlitchat

In terms of what I ✨ Want ✨ to do? I’d really like to put together a short story collection about the adult characters from my Necromancer world.

Then I might try my hand at a YA follow-up to a middle grade novel. #kidlitchat

Other bold moves would be making a Necromancer a hot 30 something disaster Wizard instead of the usual creepy old man. #kidlitchat

I wrote What the Sea Brings with swapping POVs. Some in first, the others in third. It makes sense to me and I have good reasons for it! but is often the most commented aspect in reviews πŸ˜… #kidlitchat

This is my own little diabetic buddy, Banjo! If she ends up getting injections, it’s actually quite easy (barring any needle phobias) While not fully in remission, he did just go down to once a day shots which has been so great for the wallet. Best of luck Pebbles!

Reminding myself and that inner critic that the world is on fire, I have a chronic illness, and have to work full time to support myself.

I’m doing my best and I bet you are too

It’s so tempting to believe that everything would be easier if I only had enough time to write more books

ah yes my favorite part of writing, "Do I hate everything in this manuscript or am I just hungry"

"is this the worst thing I've ever read, or do I just need a nap"

"wow my writing is terrible... yes I am extremely stressed about world events, why do you ask?"

I got to open up my windows, let the sunshine and cool air in, and just sleep a LITTLE bit longer this morning. 10/10

The Raven Scholar by Antonia Hodgson. Truly phenomenal and deserves more hype than GoT

Two large stacks of books sit horizontally on a bookshelf. The stack on the left is The Necromancer's Apprentice, while the stack on the right is of What the Sea Brings.

Happy #worldbookday! I wouldn’t be who I am today without the magical and wonderful world of reading.

Thank you to all the teachers, librarians, parents, guardians, and friends who make books a priority. This author couldn’t have done it without you.

I think it'll make a resurgence, considering the ARCs I have squirreled away. I grew up reading The Squire's Tales by Gerald Morris and they profoundly shaped my imagination and my own books. I might just have to binge read them all again
