when you’re used to 10/0 or 5/0 liner brushes A4 is gigantic. I‘d spend multiple weeks on anything bigger than that haha

This was a fun one to draw

It‘s an Epson Surecolor with the original inks. I also use it to make my prints and stickers.
The important part is that the inks are pigment based and not dye inks.

Now that I know my printer ink is water resistant I'm tempted to draw more traditional again. I can make the lineart digitally and not use my (not always working) lightpad with the thick watercolor paper I can barely see through. That was always a pain haha

Honestly I don’t know, but if you are searching for good watercolor paper I can recommend Arches cold pressed watercolor paper. It’s my absolute favorite to use. Really good for wet on wet, wet on dry, blending and detailing

you can see the bleeding pretty well when you compare the ear details

used roughly the same amount of dark brown for both, but it looks a lot duller on the left.

I went with the paper where I painted the wolf brown. The other paper had some slight bleeding/blooming issues and some darker colors appeared dull when used with too much water.

I wasn’t really happy with my old banner for a while but didn’t know what to change (none of my other works really fits) But then I came up with this idea a few weeks ago. Really like the playfulness it radiates.

yess someone noticed it. I bet there could be way more intricate designs, silhouettes, etc using this technique.

That would be amazing. People would go crazy with their banner designs.
