Recently finished The Body by Bethany C. Morrow. Absolutely loved this!
The main character went from meek and timid to gouging someone's eyes out. Love that for her โค๏ธ
Totally recommend Morrow's sci-fi novel, Mem, as well!

All of my coworkers slurp their food and chew noisily or with their mouths open and I want to scream.
One of our librarians used AI to create a poster for our book sale, and it's very typical. At first glance it looks fine, but the more you stare at it, the more small abnormalities are noticeable.
The worst part is that the word "Book" is spelled incorrectly ๐ซฃ

Me patiently waiting for my invite:
There is No Antimemetics Division! One of my favorites of last year ๐
Yup... I work in a library and one of my projects is putting series labels on the spines of our adult fiction collection. When I got to Jo Nesbรธ, I knew the books we had were part of a series, but didn't know the name. I stared at my computer in disbelief and probably snorted ๐ซฃ

The view from my front porch. The steps and railings are covered in snow. Icicles hang from the roof. There are mounds of snow everywhere.
Guys, this is getting out of hand. I have a morning affirmation for winter time that goes something like:
You have a pension.
You're in a union.
Low cost of living.
This is why I stay here.

Just finished the audio for Lost Lambs by Madeline Cash.
The humorous, and heartwarming, tale of a dysfunctional family.
If you like Kevin Wilson, I think you'll like this one!

I'm playing this word matching game, and I see "Fantasy," "Sci-Fi," "Drama," and I know the category will be something along the lines of "Genre," so I'm looking for words like "Romance," and you know what the 4th word was?
"Young Adult"
Young Adult is a demographic.
08th MS team is one of my favorites ๐
Closeup of an older crockpot sitting on a speckled kitchen counter. The crockpot is mostly shades of brown and has floral accents on the side. Definitely vintage.
We rarely cook anything in the crockpot, so when I cracked the ceramic insert of our last one years ago, I never replaced it (I dropped it while I was washing it!).
We borrowed a family member's crockpot for tonight's dinner, and this thing looks like it came straight outta the 80's. Love it.
Ew, gross ๐คฎ
A bowl of pickle soup. A chicken broth base with potatoes, carrots, onion, fresh dill, and chopped pickles.
I made pickle soup for dinner. I watched one recipe video on Facebook, and suddenly I'm seeing pickle soup recipes 24/7 in my feed. It was delicious ๐คค
A picture of a DenTek boil and bite dental guard kit.
Guys, this is my 4th DenTek kit ๐ My dog chewed up the 1st two and I chewed up the 3rd in my sleep.
I used to rent this from the local video store, like, once a week ๐ I always meant to go back and find the TV show online. I'd be super happy if it was this title!

(This happened several years ago) Went to my annual wellness exam at Planned Parenthood. The provider asked if I wanted a breast exam - sure - and she then proceeded to comment on how nice my skin was as she checked for lumps. Serial killer vibes, for sure.
A guy named Michael Bolton booked one of our meeting rooms today. Have this stuck in my head now, thanks.

Such a good album!

The Home & Pharmacy entrance of my local Walmart. The "M" in "Home" is gone, so the sign reads "Hoe & Pharmacy."
Guys, I think I'm at the wrong store...
We're still down ๐ซ I don't think we'll be back up before we leave, so I'll just have a big cart of returns to check in Monday morning!
I'm 39, so when the ILS is down, this is what I hear in my head.

We're open 9-5 on Saturdays. It's my turn to work Saturday, and I couldn't sign in to Leap, so I checked my inbox, and every other library in my system open today couldn't either.
As of 10AM, no one at Innovative has responded to us to even acknowledge that there's an issue ๐

An image of a dining room and living room. The lights are off, and the Christmas tree is on in the left corner, emitting a golden glow. There are multi-colored lights on the mantle above the fireplace on the right-hand side. The multi-colored lights are reflecting on the white ceiling.
A close-up of a Christmas tree in the corner of a room. There are white lights on the tree, and a burlap material wrapped around it in a spiral. There is a metal star on the top, and a brass-colored metal tree skirt underneath. The ornaments are predominantly gold, black, and copper.
Happy Holidays ๐
So if Die Hard is considered a Christmas movie because it takes place on Christmas day, is Too Close by Next a Christmas song because it heavily samples Christmas Rappin' by Kurtis Blow?

Here are my #libfaves25 honorable mentions!
It was *soooo* difficult to narrow my favorites down to 10 titles. I struggled between a few, and kept flip-flopping. Titles and authors in the alt text!
It's the last day of #LibFaves25, and my pick for today is THE LAMB by Lucy Rose.
I can't say much without spoilers, but If you enjoyed Wake Up and Open Your Eyes (Clay McLeod Chapman) or Earthlings (Sayaka Murata), then this is probably for you...
This one is going to take a while to get over.
