Ive heard fantastic things about doom rpg and watched reviews on it and wanted to play it, (never sat down to download the fan port, maybe I will now tho)

So seeing a game i already love like dusk get a simular adaptation has me so excited to finally try a game like it

So the assumption this character was even supossed to be Trans just reads to me as a pattern recognition misfire, due to the op seeing an overwhelming amount of hateful content that the mind was connecting dots and seeing intent where i dont personally believe it was,unless more examples surface

Wojaks have as much thought as children's insults and use tropes that are universally surface level (insult (enter person or category)'s appearance, attitude, temper or calmness)

The kinda stuff thats been in the mocking characters in cartoons sense their invention

Also just because I said its common doesnt mean I think its okay to body shame, I just means I dont think it stands out particularly as a specified attack, its the kinda trope thats so common children recognize it, and is not linked to being transgender whatsoever

Its also not my defense, the assumption here was that because they were fat ugly and crossdressing they were parodying trans wojaks, im saying depicting characters this way isnt new, is a combination of two existing cliches, charlies the fan favorite, thirsted after and is also a big ol fat guy

The sailor moon outfit being the most common indicator for the American otaku cliche, something allans also rocking the guy probably is only depicted gross so it visually matches his behavior which is based on a famous problem at cons unrelated to trans people

Genuine trans hate is not hidden, I think seeing it this way is just a knee-jerk reaction to the large amount of hateful content online, but making a character fat and ugly is like the most common way to make fun of them, and the sailor moon outfit is textbook otaku

I considered it and realized theres not enough there for it to not feel like a leap, considering theres nothing directly pointing to trans people, I can see how it can be interpreted that way but I dont see enough intent.

And considering alan is rocking his fit, I think its just an otaku indicator

Not to mention alan the guy being harassed was also crossdressing

Those wojaks go out of there way to make sure you know the character depicted was trans

The only traits he had in this episode was being an otaku crossdresser which is its own trope thats existed for a long time at conventions

The main character designer for that episode was trans, and crossdressing Otakus are their own trope

That was not a joke about trans people, its a cliche of Otakus at convention that harass convention goers, hense the sailor moon uniform, also alan the person being harassed was also a man in a dress, both parties were crossdressing

Plus this game was first teased with him during the year of shadow, and this is the same animation team behind the shadow gens anime.

I imagine this was maybe planned during the year of shadow but it just came out later

Love this animation team and the respect they give shadow, such a cool idea to let him be the ad protagonist after he was the character shown off in the initial teaser

This is also the first time someone other then sonic got to win one of these and shadow lost in the last one at the very end so him winning this time is the twist
