hi i’m trying to be more active here. i like asoryuu #tgaa #dgs

two drawings of klint van zieks, lady baskerville, barok van zieks and balmung from the great ace attorney. the first shows a younger version of them; klint carries a puppy-size balmung while lady baskerville holds up a kid barok from under his arms. the second drawing now shows klint holding up a much larger balmung and lady baskerville holding barok's shoulders (now an adult).

ya not finishing this one but it was very fun to take 5 seconds to draw a very hard angle for kazuma and take 30 minutes to draw a basic angle for ritsu ive drawn so many times before. #ILOVEART

i might try to go back through strange journey's ost again to see if i notice anything there since that one is also more orchestral

in that aspect. i guess it's because he's going for full symphonic pieces rather than more simple one-off string compositions for atmosphere this time around, but the difference and absence of those patterns i used to recognize frequently is neat i think ^^

tremolo when he includes strings in his compositions, but in metaphor there's a lot more of just quick staccato for the violins. i was trying to think of why it sounds a lot more different here than in the past with his more orchestral tracks, but he really doesn't fall back on old patterns at all-

i havent had the time to actually start playing any megaten games myself yet and i've just been going through the music, but it was cool recognizing the style that he's known for in more modern games appearing with raidou kuzunoha

going through osts done by meguro in order of release is pretty fun when you start to recognize patterns in his compositions and where he starts sticking to a certain style. one thing that's been sticking out to me a lot is how much he likes using the hell out of tremolo for string sections lmao
