Because of recent NIH impediments to international collaboration, FlyBase has divided forces:
- European labs can contribute via (www.philanthropy.cam.ac.uk/give-to-camb...), where you can also request to make a donation from a grant.
- the FlyBase U.S. fee system will be set up soon.

New Precomputed Neuron and Expression Pattern Similarity Scores on VFB
VFB neuron-to-neuron and neuron-to-expression pattern similarity scores (NBLAST) have been expanded to include the male-CNS optic lobe and FAFB-FlyWire connectome datasets.
🧠 VFB just expanded NBLAST similarity scores to include male-CNS optic lobe & FAFB-FlyWire datasets! Now easier to find morphologically similar neurons across connectomes & identify potential split-GAL4 drivers. Big win for #neuroscience #flyresearch 🔬

Larval split-GAL4 line raw images release
Raw images from the 1020 Larval split-GAL4 lines and 350 Generation 1 LexA lines included in Meissner et al., 2024 are now available on VFB.
