Did some cross country skiing threshold repeats last night to get back in shape after battling the flu and in preparation for #Vasaloppet 90km.
About 500 km on snow so far.

Always!
What a day for a ski race! Bessemerloppet 45 km in perfect weather and impeccable tracks. Took me 3 hours. Happy with that - just comimg back from a cold. #xcski

Nice day! Did a short xc-ski session, to prime arm & legs for tomorrows ski race - Bessemerloppet, in perfect weather and -16Β°C/3.2Β°F.
I have regular visits from the green woodpecker outside of my home office window. It's a really pretty bird, a welcome distraction from boring work :)
Well done and good luck!
I can almost feel the snow getting into my eyes! Looks amazingly beautiful though.
I should be able to get through the cycling and running where I have a solid training background and I'm even currently in reasonable shape. So if I can get the swimming in order, I think it should't be impossible to finish Iron Man.
But will I get the swimming in order? I'll definitely try!
I still do think it should be possible to get there though. It isn't surprising I'm a bad swimmer, I haven't been swimming really since I was a teenager some 35 years ago or so.
Did my first swim session yesterday and discovered I'm capable of about 50 m continous swimming and then need to recover before proceeding. I have some way to go to say the least.
Iron Man coming up in 8 about months and I'm in trouble.
Sport activity stats. 268 active days this year and 6.600 km of running and cycling
Not as intense as last year, but still ok. I'll have to ramp it up again next year π
Abt. 2100 km running, 4000 km cycling and the remainder was cross country skiing.

November 29. Sun is barely making it over the horizon. It's cold and wet. Perfect day for a long run and another 20 k in the bag. #running #runsky

Autumn is here.
I suck at #swimming, can do a couple of hundred meters without drowning but that's about it. So now I of course signed up for an #ironman next year. Got 11 months to get my swimming in order, probably #stupid af.
Yes, your legs will thank you - eventually... :)
Not just me then :) I usually turn to zwift though....
Yeah, when the PB's are coming it can't be considered slow in my book :) Nicely done! πͺ
Nice! I started my running journey 10 years ago at age 43 haven't looked back yet. Good luck and just stick to it! πͺ
Did a small #bikepacking trip in Sweden #cycling along the river DalΓ€lven and it's two main branches. 1090 km, mostly #gravel and trail in 9 days wild camping. Can't wait until next time!

Day 3 of my #bikepacking trip following DalΓ€lven to its sources. Started with gravel roads but soon found myself biking rough trails. All while the rain was pouring. However in the evening it cleared up and now all is well. 113 km done for the day and 400 km in total.
Another day in the swedish forests #bikepacking by riding trails and gravel roads. So far the schedule holds. Today I especially enjoyed the hilly sand roads and trails though pine tree forests. And riding the DalΓ€lven river bank.

Finally! First day #bikepacking in #sweden. 165 km gravel roads completed on my way along DalΓ€lven. This is my highlight every Year.
Just discovered 'select all x conversations' in my gmail inbox so I finally could mark my 27.000 unread mails as read. Makes it a bit easier from now on to keep track. Lovely :D
Shoe setup: Puma Deviate Nitro 3, Asics Kayano 31 and Craft Endurance Pro
The final pair of my new shoe rotation line up arrived today, now just need replacement for my trail shoes and setup is complete for the remaining season!
Took the brand new Puma Deviate Nitro 3 on a Global Running Day 10k. They felt pretty fast! (I'm still tired from Saturday's Marathon though)
On the basis of me posting a 3.31 #marathon to #strava I got new predictions for possible race times displayed at the activity screen.
Seems I should be capable of a 3.37 marathon time... π

A tired but happy me with medal and finisher t-shirt.
Had a great day att Stockholm Marathon yesterday. Perfect weather, around 20Β°C, nice for both the 24.000 runners and the audience!
Aimed for sub 3.30 but landed @ 3.31. Annoyingly close. But improved pb with about 4 minutes so I have to be happy with that!

A group of happy runners ready for another lap.
A happy bunch running backyard ultra. 10 laps/67km was enough for me this time. I'm happy with that.
Spring is here with road #cycling premier today in great weather. A little windy perhaps but I'll take it!
