Denmark's Labour party/SDP policies relate to careful legal migration requesting skills/Danish language/ training/limits on 'extended' family benefit dependents etc. Danish Lab purpose is'social cohesion'as Far Right were increasing voters. It worked & like here our 400 Lab MPs never bigoted racists

Like all EU,voters are asking for more controlled overseas immigrants bar scarce skills. Post Brexit Farage etc left UK poorer beyond M25 magic money roundabout.North/ North East see poorer looking towns/rising inequality,kids poverty, stretched healthcare. It's not racist to follow Denmark policy

On 'sickness benefits' this govt will have to act.The no's are highest in Europe & we're not talking physically disabled/ older employers. Its able bodied/younger workers on benefits & is unsustainable under a Labour govt. Tories enabled a 'remote system' where recipients easily claimed long term.

This 'iteration' of Lab is not the one we seniors studied in history & sociology & politics at Uni.Nor the one we post war generations saw under Atlee,Wilson ( twice) & New Lab ( 3 time winners & 4 in Scotland (so Tories had to join Gleggy boy).Keir has done some good but now 85% not voting Lab bad.

Politically & demographically its impossible for Greens to form a majority at next election. Historically the Lab movement has in creased the life chances,wellbeing & opportunities & education of working class in UK for 125 yrs. Ask any sociologist,modern historian etc. But yes Starmer & McSweeney broke that strong progressive trad by getting too close to right wing causes.

While I agree this current 'iteration' of Lab. has several shortcomings we acknowledge the increases in all incomes esp minimum wages,public services halting nurse/teacher turnover,fast treatment for our families be it Scans/Diagnosis/Appoint's/111.
Homes,job right,tenant rights,Child help,funds..

Corbyn was never in govt. He was in opposition for 5 yrs & was unappealing, lacked personal appeal & was not compelling. Yes he faced an appalling media like the Sun.
