Agree. @slangsonsports.bsky.social is one of the women I feel should be admired along with historical figures such as Harriet Tubman, Susan B. Anthony, Michelle Obama

I used Claude and it gave much more depth specific to Sasaki
So if you liked Michael Dorman as Gordo, and yes I did - he was awesome, you should check him out as John Tavner in Patriot. He plays a more numb version of Gordo but the show/story/acting is superb. I liked FAM for the first two seasons but Patriot had only two seasons and was great both seasons.
Not a challenge but these feel like comparable sentiments about Jackson Holliday but even pre-hamate people were now down on him because he was what it seems you are saying Griffin could be if not a good hitter.
Can you share if full health why you may/if you do see them differently?
Thanks
#olympicshockey - are we seriously gonna get a repeat OT game? Still guessing no because USA looks not great
Good point. I actually think both could do more. It is a balance of emotion between joy of all in one place but knowing both could do more. Would love to see things like roster depth chart breakdowns, local/available pre-game analysis of players/team tactics, etc.
yes but a few years ago, the casual fan like I was at that time, wouldn't even have know the season was starting or where to go to watch. Don't underestimate the conversion of casual to full-time simply because there is a singular place to watch.
That was some of the best hockey ever regardless of who won.
#olympichockey - that was AWESOME
#usawomen - holy crap Canada has missed two golden opportunities
This hockey OT is amazing. Edge of your seat stuff.
Really great article. Nice job!
Great article and thanks for posting on BlueSky. I appreciated the depth of the player pool evaluated and more than a single sentence blurb. This must have taken a ton of time. Much appreciated. FWIW I am a FanGraphs subscriber as well so not just vulturing content.
Can there be improvements...sure...but c'mon trying watching other sports with games spread across 4 streamers and see if they have a consolidated location with better updates. Not really.
Prior to MLS on Apple, I never really watched MLS and couldn't find it even when I wanted to.
I think you are missing the conversion of previously casual consumer to avid fan such as me because I HIGHLY value having a single location to watch everything black-out free.
Bugonia was entertaining but I'm a bit disturbed that a movie highlighting the 'what if' of conspiracy theory is getting as much accolades as it is. This movie should just say crazy is crazy and could have been just as good and avoided the off the rails ending.
good points. also digest different POVs and you start to find trend analysis to help inform
I'm an MLS/USMNT fan but not a soccer savant. I believe intll teams have better talent than club teams because they get the best of the country, however, coach tactics and limited training windows inhibiting team familiarity/chemistry building thus holding them back vs. the best club teams.
Sure would be nice to hear Reds specific perspective instead of other teams feeds.
Thanks for the response. I've read the story twice now and don't see that answered. Perhaps I lack reader comprehension. Nevertheless I appreciate that you responded.
If I understand correctly, you can't watch reds.tv through espn unlimited though. Is that accurate (i.e., I'd still need to use the standalone mlb.tv to watch in market reds.tv games)?
Great post Joe and like the thoughts. My choices below:
C: Realmuto
1b: Devers
2b: Westburg
3b: Riley
Ss: Seager
Of: Alvarez (not entirely dark horse but health has to work and never really does)
Of: Merrill
Sp: Cease
Sp: Luzardo
Rp: Bednar
how they probably see themselves though
I really like Chris Collingsworth and I really like and will miss Buck Martinez and I'm wondering if I like them because they are great analysts or because they sound similar?
Anybody else super excited by Joey Votto as an analyst? He did great in the Reds booth when he was injured and his dry wit I hope plays with audiences. I'm also mildly concerned he could slip up and say something unintentionally offensive.
lawsuits is what happened due to some false advertising. premise is the same. I've got a running drinking of water game going between sports betting and AI. Started strong on the sports betting but AI has come back strong
drinks of water that is
So far I'm taking more drinks for sports betting commercials than AI but I expect a tight race in this SB
You still have to ask yourself whether you are comfortable posting on that platform. It’s like going to a restaurant owned by the mafia just because you like the way the food tastes
The Muppet Show was surprisingly delightful. They didn't try too hard. They didn't over-celebrate the celebrity while keeping true to original tone. A little too much Miss Piggy for me, but I get it as I think that's also kinda the point.
