For now I’ll keep an acct here but I won’t be active. I love the idea of an alternative to all things Meta, but this format is too chaotic and noisy for me right now. I was never on Twitter- and I tried Threads for about 2 seconds- it’s not my thing.

From Sunday- poking around Sanderson with my Pentax 67, a camera I love but have pushed aside for years. This is a phone pic but I also shot it with film -to be developed (TBD😎). I didn’t know a double stop sign was a thing- but I guess it is around RR crossings. See? Polaroid of one in Marathon.

I need to force myself to develop the shot soon- I’m not used to pointing a box at a scene and not having a clue what will be in frame 😂 my other pinhole has a way to sort of gage… I’ll post the result even if it’s terrible!

That makes me feel better. It’s just so much- websites and social media and mailing list… I ain’t got time for all of this!!

I caught your follow up post about scanning in sections and stitching together in Lightroom. I think I’ve seen that done before… I don’t have Lightroom and honestly- I’m too lazy to try to do that 😂 I’ll probably just shoot them with my DSLR and print any that are good (which could be zero)

Travis! I was just trying to figure out how to scan 4x5- I only have a V600. I can camera “scan” until there’s a reasonable alternative option- hopefully I’ll get images worthy of printing in the darkroom 😎

Yesterday I made a fun day trip to restock Ferguson Motors - a coffee shop, food, art, live music events-regional work supported by this gem of a shop in Sanderson, Texas. These are some recent 8x10 reproductions of my series on cowboy drag 😜- b&w emulsion lifts on top of painted color blocks.

Exactly!! One of many mysteries. I think maybe it’s an organizational thing that my brain hasn’t adapted to. The feed looks disconnected and the shares throw me off just as much!

Thanks, Duncan! I hope I can too because I’m a little overwhelmed. Emulsion lifts entered my life and stuck. It’s very satisfying to have something I can do quickly (unlike developing film and scanning or printing!!)- and they’re cool looking!

Hi! And if it is… take me, TAKE ME!! (And my cats). It’s so bizarre! Deer, javelina, coyote, and raccoon prints all around it! Maybe they know something…

Testing a new 4x5 pinhole camera- 1) forgot my tripod mount and just held it 2) forgot a level 3) probably over-exposed 4) will take my sweet time developing because I’m not sure where my 4x5 tank is 5) had an excellent time! 💃 Marathon,TX- just some fancy old (30s?) structure for a well pump.

I’m just going to admit it- I don’t understand how to navigate this app. I just replied to myself 😂

But here too. Blue sky doesn’t allow me to add as much text to photos so I can’t ramble as much!

I shot this last year on a day trip to
Sanderson, Tx- pulling off the lonely highway and zig zagging through scrub and cactus to get close enough. Clear sky, hot breeze, a day I remember really needing to remind me that despite a lot of hard things going on in my life, I still had West Texas! #holga

Two of my favorite places to camp- down in Fresno Canyon or Guale Mesa in Big Bend Ranch State Park. Looking forward to all the camping planned this year! I think these were shot with my Perkeo and Pentacon- 2023. More nature. Less news in 2025. More film, darkroom, cyanotype! Photogravure!

Thank you! Yeah- I can’t leave that platform after years of work building up the reach I have accomplished. Do I love the politics behind IG? No- but it feels wrong to allow that to take it all away from me.
