Which is why the weightings of the sms and the televote are seemingly at odd proportions (14 and 12 percent respectively)
What I think happened is that the winner of each category was automatically awarded 42 points and everyone else's score was given in proportion to that 42 (for example if you received 1/2 of the votes of the televote winner you'd receive 21 points)... (2/3)
I think I figured out FiK's voting system:
It was a 50/25/25 breakdown in a sense
The maximum you could score with the juries was 84 (7*12)
The maximum points awarded from diaspora and SMS was 42... Therefore the maximum you could be awarded from the televote was 84... (1/3)
