I think the best reader comment I ever got was about how my book was too silly. That's how I realized that cozies were the best direction for me. Light stakes, warm feelings, happy endings. The world needs more of that.

I think the only thing holding me back was me. At first, I felt like I was selling out because I was self-publishing, then for writing novellas, then because I was writing softer, cozier stories, and then because I was serializing. Then I realized none of that matters if I enjoy what I'm writing!

I'm still catching up with my typing, but Wednesday I finally get to get back to actually writing on El Cucuy.

I haven't written this much a day in YEARS. (I'm working on publishing on a platform that pays by how much you write) I'm going to try and keep from burning out so I may be putting out books a little slower than originally thought.
I've spent 25 years of my life trying to be an author, and sometimes succeeding. Now, I'm giving it one more go, and I'm feeling really optimistic this time. Fingers crossed!
