Let’s take Australia backwards. No heart no imagination no future
By leaving interest rates on hold, the RBA has failed to do what is right for Australians & what is right for the economy.
Australians have suffered unnecessarily for too long. Cutting rates would have provided some sensible stimulus to an economy that has almost ground to a halt.

News Corp are biased towards right wing politicians and ideas, and always has been. But bias is just part of what Albo is referencing here. News Corp are a campaign platform - a propaganda machine - using the facade of journalism as a political campaign. News Corp should be transparent about this.
Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Young makes a very good point. #auspol
We have an AFP operation & a special envoy for antisemitism but no AFP investigation into femicide.
No people have been killed in antisemitic incidences, but we’ve had 94 incidences of femicide associated with domestic violence.
0.46% of the population vs. 50.7%
Am I missing something?

The tired and tedious “anti-Semitic” smear again. And again. Netanyahu is a war criminal.
Has Peter Dutton ever heard of renewable energy storage?
Batteries?
He's still going on about 'if the sun doesn't shine, the wind doesn't blow or it's night time"
FFS
How does he think water comes out of the tap when it's not raining?
Fucking storage, Einstein

Peter Dutton claims Australia voting with most of the world to uphold the rule of law is the Albanese government damaging its relationship with the US (who voted against it) at a time Australia should be "strengthening" its US relationship.
He's truly happy for Aust to sink all the way with the USA
There's a giant bullfrog in my yard croaking non stop So noisy so loud so annoying
I think it may be Peter Dutton
The bill was passed last week. Albanese government has now introduced 'world-leading legislation on corporate tax transparency. The measure is projected to yield billions in additional revenues by curbing the profit shifting of multinational companies' #auspol taxjustice.net/press/tax-ju...
The Albanese government just introduced that too - new minimum tax for multinational companies. Funny how none of this gets media coverage #auspol www.miragenews.com/minimum-tax-...
“Profit gouging, supply shortages, climate change, all these things [are driving inflation]. Putting up interest rates won’t deal with that, but it’ll make life worse,”
– Former RBA governor, Bernie Fraser.

Elon Musk spent Thanksgiving with Trump instead of his family and Trump sat next to Musk during the feast instead of his wife Melania Trump. Musk hasn't left Trump's side since the election, questions are arising if he'll be living at the White House after January.
It's good that we can find out the truth without having to engage with what passes for Journalism in Australia these days. #auspol
That’s 5 newsworthy items missed by MSM/abcnews. Add to yours: elite private schools losing Govt funding; public education funding boosted by billions; Govt rebates have made electricity 40% cheaper and; Federal Parliament will reconvene in February. I’m sure there’s more.

The tangled web that links big unions and Labor to the $3.9 trillion super sector By James Massola November 25, 2024
Cripes did Massola even write any word of this, or did he just add his name to Andrew Bragg's prose?
Rents are a State matter
Chart of public demand growth showing in 2022-23 that public sector demand fell from 6.5% during the pandemic to 2.4% - the lowest since the Austerity years of Joe Hockey
I see a junior economist in the AFR keeps trying to argue that government spending made inflation worse.
Problem is the year in which inflation peaked public sector demand was as low as it'd been for nearly a decade.
They lost seats regardless!!!
Greens lost almost half of their six Legislative Assembly seats the ACT
Greens lost one of the two they held in Qld
Some Greens demands weren't feasible nor doable After disastrous showing in ACT & Qld the Greens suddenly want to be seen as 'responsible' They could have passed the Housing Bill & we would have had 'something' which is better than 'nothing' Instead they played games with pie in the sky demands
I’m listening to Rick Morton’s Mean Streak - it’s about Robodebt saga. It’s a true crime thriller where we all know who the perps are. Honestly, Australians need to see some consequences from this mendacious cruel policy assault on hundreds of thousands of vulnerable people. We are owed that much!
