Agreed, I wish they would stop it! I thought the word “illegal” was not being used. Anyway they are not banned, the government is not indiscriminately funding it.

If the alternative is a horrible internal battle then it won’t do anyone any good apart from the opposition.
It strikes me that he should be encouraged if he’s a credible candidate. We need strong leaders now and in the future. Labour leadership should embrace this. He could be a successor to the current administration rather than a replacement. If he’s good enough to start sooner then so be it!
I’ve had a similar but easier issue with those corner style shower gel trays. Who’s have thought that bathroom walls might not be absolutely perfect!
Am I to understand that not everyone in these photos is to be trusted?
I really enjoyed this thanks!
@therestpolitics.bsky.social Gents, slight correction! ASML in the Netherlands makes the machines that make the best chips in the world. Actual chips (using these machines) are made in Taiwan and USA. There is a big push by EU to make more in Europe. Enjoying the podcast, keep it up!
Rachel wearing very flimsy looking apron, mask and visor in NHS setting
Here I am in 2020 in the flimsiest, most pitful PPE - like so many other NHS staff, some of whom died from the Covid they caught in their hospitals.
Tory peer Michelle Mone - who today lost her legal case & must repay the govt £122m - dares to claim she’s been ‘scapegoated’.
What, Michelle? 🧵
@newsagents.bsky.social thank you for a calm, factual yet firm anti-right wing episode. Exactly the sort of thing that should be used by the government to counter Reform. My question is to why protests are allowed outside asylum hotels, surely they should be sent to the council offices to protest?
I made amazing friends through the Erasmus scheme. I’d never heard of it before turning up at university and definitely regret not doing it myself. It’s a great opportunity for anyone who can spend some time in a different country.
I’m not trying to argue your independence point, just commenting about space related developments in Scotland.
And that is extremely cool of course. And I am developing electronics for telecoms satellites in Glasgow which is also quite cool. I look forward to all space related developments in the country. We would like to get everything we need from Europe but even that is not possible.
Nice fact but ours in Scotland are somewhat smaller than those on the continent. Oh, and we can’t launch them… yet! Space is globally collaborative no matter what any politician says!
Could only be Tim Hunkin! They are all brilliant!
Apart from Conservative HQ I’d like to know who is asking this terrible question so I can avoid all media content from them in the future!
I once almost drowned on a school trip to a wave pool. I remember just being trapped below the surface, far too exhausted to thrash or even swim. A tiny old German lady spotted me, dragged me out and yelled at me while I lay there & choked. Likely she saved my life and I never even said danke schön
@number10cat.bsky.social Larry, can you confirm or deny whether this article is true?
Cats ruled out as Parliamentary pest controllers www.bbc.com/news/article...
Great stuff! This has sparked some memories. I also volunteered with the Pimlico Connection probably in 1998. I also remember Prof Goodlad giving us a few lectures at some point. I’ve got his book somewhere!
This is good advice and most of it equally applies to university exams!
It was a good day to be in Glasgow city centre, it always looks good in the sunshine!☀️
Tim what have you been doing in Glasgow? Come and say hello next time!
Yes I know this. The buttons are too close!
Well, I’m replying to the situation being explained by Greg in his video. Is he going to lobby parliament or speak to a select committee about power distribution for instance?
@stellacreasy.bsky.social thank you for your work on regulatory alignment and safety today. It’s an issue that was a clear problem with Brexit and has frustrated me before the vote and ever since!
How do we fix this?
Professionalism and diplomacy. Doing the right thing can be apolitical and without the need to make a show. People from different political leanings are being supportive. Nice to see!
Agreed. But I also wish people would replace this awful footbridge! We’ve had plenty of world-stage significant events in this location to justify it!
Hello 👋
If only we had that sort of money to give away, think of the good that could be done!
Bill Gates certainly appears to be doing good work but unfair to compare to Steve Jobs whose life was tragically cut short!
