Alarmierend: Ein französischer Forscher wollte zu einer US-Konferenz reisen - beim Einreisen musste er Handy & Laptop durchsuchen lassen. Er hatte anscheinend mit Kolleg:innen & Freund:innen eine kritische Meinung zu Trump ausgetauscht - die Einreise wurde ihm verweigert (via @profjacob.bsky.social)
Dsytopisch. Man muss es immer und immer und immer wieder wiederholen: Die ganze angebliche Sorge um Meinungsfreiheit ist vorgeschoben, die "Cancel Culture / Free Speech"-Erzählung war von Anfang an auf autoritären Regime Change gerichtet. Belege: Wirklich nahezu alles, was diese Leute tun.

results could be affected by the varying data sources, but the specifically strong increase from 2019-2022 is still remarkable
