I was pleased to get a clear view of the batters between overs here. Something had amused Jemima Spence, and she and Bryony Smith look to be having a ball in the friendly between Challengers Women and Surrey Women at Wokingham CC on 03/07/2025.

In Nottingham at the weekend I'd hoped to visit Trent Bridge on Saturday, but the game finished in 3 days! Congratulations to Notts on the Championship win. In their pre-season game at Oxford I got this shot of Brett Hutton who went on to take 38 Championship wickets this season.

Buckinghamshire, having won the toss and chosen to bat, were all out for 217. In reply, Devon reached 4-0 from one over before bad light brought proceedings to an end for the day.
