I have accepted my limitations as a songwriter and want to collaborate with someone with a gift for terse compact verse. I tend to go for the easy couplet which is annoying.

I just added strap locks to the guitar and tried tuning by ear for a minute before using a tuner. Before I had one I'd grab a phone and use the dial tone in the key of F. Cradle the handset under chin, finger on first fret low E string and tune by ear. Tuners are better than my ear. Old man ranting.

The Contraptions keep me alive. The songs keep coming without my permission. December 19th Chuck show raged. Swear the crowd roared in response a few times.

I found this and a copy of George P Pelecanos' the Big Blowdown at an old mill turned book empire in North Hampton (sp?-DNGAF) both for under $10. I would have taken pics of the place but it was getting dark and the rain was turning solid. Thanks for the books, New England. Keep the damn snow.
