I was excited to check out Lomsk until I saw that they're sharing a stage with Kroda this August.

Why aren't Souls Ethereal!? This would be massive for improving the NB's kit.
As it stands, the soul payoffs and the ethereal payoffs feel incredibly weak on their own. If there were some overlap, I think that would go a long way.
I'm also looking forward to what they end up changing with the new characters. The Necrobinder especially feels like a feast or famine character - I either struggle to find even decent block or consistent damage, or I just wipe out encounters like they're nothing.
I do hope that as the early access progresses, we see the Ironclad get some more fun tools to lean into different strategies.
As it stands, while he is strong, there really isn't much to the character right now beyond big hit hit big.
Exhaust doesn't feel like the monster it was, which is good.
Starting with my thoughts on the Ironclad:
- I like that his card pool now has an improved focus on the Vulnerable debuff.
- I'm not sold on status strategies being wholesale absent from his kit. It felt like a natural extension of the self damage and exhaust strategies. I miss Evolve and Immolate.
So, Slay the Spire 2 has been out for a few days, and I have thoughts. Lots of thoughts. Positive thoughts, but also things I hope to see change over the course of the early access.
I'll reply to this post as they come to me.
I highly recommend the game, btw. It's awesome.
I was really disappointed with the releases from last week until I found this new album by Miserere Luminis, Sidera.
It's a deeply emotional and intense black metal album that recalls some of the best in the genre. The use of piano and double bass are exceptional.

Years ago when I first heard about The Fountain I thought it was the most idiotic thing ever.
Now it's one of my favorite pieces of art.

Lmao omg
Slay the Spire 2 screenshot. In it is a lady lizard with goggles on asking "What kind of tool will help you kill everyone?" The text "kill everyone" is highlighted in red. The options below read "Protector" or "Weapon".
A screen shot from Slay the Spire 2. It depicts a lady lizard with goggles on. She has just finished helping you make a card for your deck and she exclaims "Whew, All done. This is for you! Now get out there and slaughter!" "Slaughter" is highlighted in red. The text continues to explain how after this she would create hundreds of weapons resulting in thousands of deaths in the Spire.
Omg I love her so much.
I know. I want to update his look too.
Been too long, I think my most recent art commissions are pre-2020.
Was really happy to be there with @kaizakobold.bsky.social, @shadowyredwolfy.bsky.social, @rushhusky.bsky.social, @brewdawg.bsky.social, @neonwoof.bsky.social, and @kitsimi.bsky.social.
What a fun night!
Just got home from an absolutely fucking AWESOME show. Saw No/Mas, Oxygen Destroyer, and Exhumed. The multiple chants of FUCK ICE was incredibly cathartic.
No/Mas continue to be an incredible live act. If you like death metal and/or grindcore at all then I implore you to try and catch them live.
Would love to play some with ya

Alright, game of the year.
Sounds fantastic
This sounds extremely up my alley, gonna peep this. Been pretty disappointed with the releases I have checked out so far today.
Aaaaaaaa I need to try multiplayer. It looks so fun.
Slay the Spire 2 is so good. I have clears on Ironclad and Silent so far. Going to go for at least 1 clear with each character before upping the ascension level.
Hoping for the best. Sorry to hear this.
You bet I will. Already have plans to submit it elsewhere.
Got to save my first rejection letter.
Maybe next time.
Sometimes, guitar squeak is really annoying. I find it's especially prevalent in brutal death metal, and I am not sure it's always necessary.
Last night I submitted my short story to a magazine. I'm honestly expecting it to be rejected, but I guess anything could happen.
It's pretty wild, and awesome, that Woe decided to rerelease Legacies of Frailty as Legacies of Human Frailty after rerecording the album with the whole band involved. The new vocal recording is especially intense.
Apparently the original release was basically a one-man job due to covid.
Lol yep I get that a lot too.
This is like unreal levels of embarrassing behavior. I'm not surprised that someone so stupid would find the worst possible way of trying to save a sinking ship.
I'm so glad I don't know this guy, he fucking sucks.
I really want more story-driven single-player content in that universe. Not counting on that ever happening, though.
