I'm hoping for a 2026 release, I've been hard at work fixing bugs and broken shit. All the game's missions are 90-100% complete. Please watch this space!
I thought of this too, it would make sense if there were scenarios where so many explosions could occur in the game naturally, I don't think there is any level in the game with so many explosive barrels to begin with haha
I discovered the wonders of Physics.OverlapSphereNonAlloc
I could make it faster too, by putting the explosions into an Object Pool (many of the game's effects and frequently spawned objects already are done this way)
Remaining lag would then probably be caused by how objects get damaged
one HALF AN HOUR of OPTIMIZATION, please
If i can reduce the frame spikes by this much by just giving a shit for 30 minutes, then Big Gaming can Optimize the big games
I can get it smoother with more object pooling and tricks but this is a vast improvement. Optimize your shit
