This means that the Protestant Reformationβthe event that your religion is named afterβwas not only a religious protest. It was a political action.
It included multiple Papal States, controlled armies, had its own courts and system of law, and wielded additional informal political power on other nations.
For Protestant Christians trying not to get political: do you realize that, in the 16th century when the Protestant reformation occurred, the Catholic Church was a political power?
We need moral leaders who understand and embrace pluralism. Thatβs it.
