Resting in Rohn are Jody Potts-Joseph, Adam Lindenmuth, Sam Paperman, Sadie Lindquist, and Grayson Bruton. And that's the field this afternoon! #mushersky #iditarod54
Resting in Rohn are Jody Potts-Joseph, Adam Lindenmuth, Sam Paperman, Sadie Lindquist, and Grayson Bruton. And that's the field this afternoon! #mushersky #iditarod54
Kevin Hanson is 44 miles out of Nikolai. Keaton Loebrich and Brenda Mackey are 47 miles out. Jesse Terry is 50 miles out. Joey Sabin and Sydnie Bahl are 55 miles out. Richie Beattie has just left Rohn. #mushersky #iditarod54
Josi Shelley is 21 miles from Nikolai. Bailey Vitello is 33 miles out. Sam Martin and Gabe Dunham are resting on the trail 41 miles out. Jason Mackey is running 43 miles out. Chad Stoddard is resting 43 miles out. Hanna Lyrek is running 43 miles out. #mushersky #iditarod54
About 4 miles out of Nikolai are Travis Beals, Riley Dyche, and Matt Hall. Pete Kaiser is about 3 miles behind those guys. Rohn Buser is 10 miles from Nikolai with Lauro Eklund, Jessie Royer, Jeff Deeter, and Wade Marrs trailing him by 2-5 miles. #mushersky #iditarod54
Following Jessie into Nikolai were Ryan Redington, Mille Porsild, Michelle Phillips, and Paige Drobny. They have all stopped in Nikolai and are bedding down their dogs for a rest. Paige stopping was a bit of a surprise to me, but I'm often wrong in my predictions. #mushersky #iditarod54
Quick afternoon rundown of the 2026 Iditarod field. Jessie Holmes was first into Nikolai, where it is 30 below zero apparently, stopping just long enough to get some straw and his drop bags and is back down the trail. He's currently 7 miles past Nikolai and 42 from McGrath. #mushersky #iditarod54

#Iditarod54 has its first scratch. Even champions are taken down by this race, it's a win just getting to the start line and heading down the trail.
Yeah, I just saw that and added it to my thread. ๐ข
As I was typing my rundown, the Iditarod announced that Jaye has scratched in Rainy Pass. She had a really tough day yesterday and it took its toll, I guess. Her dogs are all find and happing and I'm very proud of Jaye for all it took just to get to the starting chute. #mushersky #iditarod54
Adam Lindenmuth is 14 miles from Rohn. Sadie Lindquist and Sam Paperman, and Grayson Bruton are 18 miles out. Jaye Fucher is the red lantern and is still in Rainy Pass having arrived overnight. Here's hoping she gets going and has a better day today. #mushersky #iditarod54
Josi Shelley, Jesse Terry, and Kevin Hanson are camped 54 miles from Nikolai. Hanna Lyrek and Sam Martin are resting 60 miles out. In Rohn are Gabe Dunham, Jason Mackey, Brenda Mackey, Joey Sabin, Sydnie Bahl, and Richie Beattie. Jodi Potts-Joseph is 7 miles from Rohn. #mushersky #iditarod54
Travis Beals is next, 43 miles from Nikolai. Pete Kaiser, Rohn Buser, and Lauro Eklund are running about 46 miles out of Nikolai. Jessie Royer is 50 miles out. Keaton Loebrich is resting 50 miles out. Wade Marrs, Chad Stoddard, and Jeff Deeter are running 53 miles out. #mushersky #iditarod54
Just behind Bailey comes the train of Ryan Redington, Michelle Phillips, Mille Porsild, and Riley Dyche. They all stopped about 20 miles past Rohn and should be running to Nikolai. Matt Hall is resting (and about to start up again) at mile 223, 40 miles from Nikolai. #mushersky #iditarod54
And just as I type this Jessie is up and moving down the trail, so he's the leader at the moment. Paige appears to be getting ready to go as well. About 2 miles behind them is Bailey Vitello who is likely going to take over one of those camp spots, having run from Rohn. #mushersky #iditarod54
Jessie Holmes rested for about 4.5 hours in Rohn, leaving about 45 minutes after Paige and stopping to camp on the trail at basically the same place as Paige, 33 miles from Nikolai. This puts Paige on Jessie on about the same schedule which is very interesting. #mushersky #iditarod54
Good morning, Iditarod fans. Let's see where things stand. Your leader(s) on the trail are Paige Drobny and Jessie Holmes. Paige ran through Rohn last night and mushed another 50 miles down the trail before camping at a cabin at mile 230, 33 miles from Nikolai. #mushersky #iditarod54
You may have heard of the #Iditarod. Have you heard about #Igivearod? It's a fun way to donate to rural Alaska schools while following the Iditarod. We also call it throwing money at #Alaska - join in! #HelpOthers

Adam Lindenmuth is 22 miles from Rainy Pass. Sam Paperman and Sadie Lindquist are 28 miles out. Jaye Foucher and Grayson Bruton are the last on the trail and are still resting in Finger Lake. I know Jaye had some sled issues but hopefully she can get moving soon. #mushersky #iditarod54
Resting in Rainy Pass are Chad Stoddard, Jesse Terry, Gabe Dunham, Joey Sabin, Jason Mackey, Kevin Hanson, Hanna Lyrek, Brenda Mackey, Sydnie Bahl, Richie Beattie, Jodi Potts-Joseph, and Sam Martin. #mushersky #iditarod54

Pete Kaiser and Josi Shelley have just left Rainy Pass. Jeff Deeter has run through RP after resting on the trail. #mushersky #iditarod54
Mille Porsild and Paige Drobny are next, having rested on the trail just before Rainy Pass. They are 11 miles from Rohn. Ryan Redington, Matt Hall, Michelle Phillips, Travis Beals, and Riley Dyche are all about 16-17 miles from Rohn. Lauro Ekland is resting 22 miles from Rohn. #mushersky #iditarod54
Time for the field rundown before bedtime. Jessie Holmes was first into Rohn about 3 hours ago after proving me wrong and running straight from Finger Lake to Rohn. Bailey Vitello just arrived in Rohn, after also running from Finger Lake to Rohn. #mushersky #iditarod54
Moral. Vacuum.
