Great trip to Fuerteventura last week. Many highlights including rarities- Blue-winged Teal, Eastern Yellow Wagtail, Greater Flamingo- amongst the regulars. Good butterflies too. Seeing El Cotillo CD play was another highlight!
A fun day up the coast with @joshuapeverley.bsky.social catching up with @tsbirding.bsky.social. Enjoyed Purple Sandpipers & Peregrines at Ness Point before close views of American Wigeon, White-fronted & Tundra Bean Geese at Carlton where we ate our picnics in the warm sunshine!

Incredible to see two Red-billed Tropicbirds on Fuerteventura today: what a bird! Not often that displaying Houbara Bustards take second place on a day on Fuerteventura

Great to see the Penduline Tits at Aust today. They put on a great display after dipping them on the way down to Cornwall. And great hospitality at the Boar's Head after.
Was pleased to connect with the Eastern Black Redstart today in Sheringham and had super views of it feeding along the seawall.

Took full advantage of a teacher training day on Thursday and headed to Norfolk. Hume's Warbler, Dusky Warbler, Long-eared Owl, 3 Yellow-browed Warblers and a Glossy Ibis the highlights.
Few hours on #patch at Ditton on Thursday morning was proved worth it with a Crossbill! Also 745 Woodpigeon, 105 Mipit, 5 Redpoll, 9 Siskin, 62 Redwing, Fieldfare and 8 Lapwing.
I’ve really enjoyed birding at Landguard regularly this autumn. Y’day was great, with Jack Snipe & Long-eared Owl amongst 50+ species. Today was epic! A self-found Yellow-browed Warbler then the magic moment of relocating a Pallas’s Warbler with Will Brame which he & Bill Mackie had found earlier.
Short-toed Lark and Snettisham Spectacular from Saturday, with a supporting cast of Snow Bunting, 2 Curlew Sands, leustistic Oystercatcher and the King's Lynn Lesser Yellowlegs which had a been imprisoned by the fences.
