Talked to another friend today who will be permanently leaving Texas for New York this summer. They're leaving as a direct result of anti-LGBTQ legislation.
It's become normal for people to flee this state because of its hostile government, but I'm trying hard not to allow my brain to normalize it.

The only people screaming rape were not involved. Us, inside the relationship, did not consider anything that happened a sexual assault or consent violation.
