If you make something popular enough eventually you will die or sell it off and and a person in thick rimmed glasses whose main artistic vision is that he loves to have meetings will take it and sandblast it until it's nothing. I hate to see this happen here but maybe it's good that this happened. Maybe every franchise should collapse into a version of itself that makes shareholders nod and shake each others' hands. We should learn to speak in a language that rich people who don't dream can't comprehend.

i often think about this review

we're getting all the downsides of cyberpunk (social alienation, ruthless hyper capitalism, digital mass surveillance state) but none of the promised upsides (cheap street food, cool jackets, super drugs that make you really fast and strong before they kill you)

I was able to get a swap! We doublechecked and one of their books we thought we had we didn't, so kind of a win? Out a few bucks for the price difference but not a big deal.

I've had a few folks suggest that as well, but I have all of their other books that I would want. Been a big fan of theirs for years. I'm mad at myself for buying it blind, but also just disappointed in them. Would love to know how this got approved, especially as I read and see more of it.

I'm pissed that not only did I spend $79 for the CE of this yesterday blind (because all of their other books have been fucking rad), I downloaded the pdf which I never do but my wife was excited to check it out which prevents me from getting a refund. Only takes one time to burn the bridge :/

It's made me incredibly happy to see the Battlefront 2 resurgence. Game is great and we never really stopped playing it.

I don't think this leads to BF3 or even more content for BF2, but maybe we could finally get the handful of QoL stuff and another balance pass that they couldn't do before?

I also grew up in SD and am a big Padres fan, but this game became painful to watch pretty quickly.

There is for sure a certain amount of glee when your team is essentially pubstomping, but this one just got sad. I feel awful for Rockies fans.
