This is really important to consider from a global wellbeing perspective.

The fiat of mad authoritarian leaders is what brings down countries/civilizations.

This surely needs reposting. It’s such a truism and not generally recognized as such. If only there were enough candidates that would primary everyone. We need publicly supported campaigns and serious campaign finance reform.

Even in a blowout win, there could be 8 minutes left, the Knicks up by 30 and all the starters are still in the game. Not even considering the unnecessary overuse of players, the question arises about key rotation players getting injured playing these kind of minutes.

You can't make the creative act happen. You have to do certain things, otherwise it won't happen. But it won't happen while you are doing them. They create the terms on which the thing will arise. It's a question of how we dispose our consciousness—that is, how we attend. Attention is a creative act, and creation is really about the induction of a highly attentive state. It is like an ear that is listening and receptive, without actually having anything at all clear yet to hear. You've got to have some intimation of what it is that's coming, however, because otherwise it couldn't come. On the other hand, you can't actually close down too precisely on what sort of thing it is, because if you do, you will undoubtedly close down on something else. It involves remaining open, and yet being able to receive something which is, in the end, quite specific and particular. (In this, it is somewhat like prayer.) It’s why focusing only on the money is a mistake. They want more. And even their planetary domination won’t be enough for them.

This seems a lessee concern in view of their rampant violations of laws and disregard of the Constitution. Which they also don’t pretend to care about.
