Enters room; frowns and sniffs; "has someone been striking pyrite in here?"
Great new today that our project led by Howells where we are conservation architects has received planning and listed building consent for a comprehensive reordering of the Grade II listed buildings: lnkd.in/dtg4Jakz
Pleased to say I have now been admitted to the RIBA Principal Designer Register showing my commitment to designing and delivering safe buildings, and supporting contractors in running sites that are as safe as possible
I wonder why, if the building responds to the changing environment, the floor plates rotate at a different speed / orientation. Surely it would not change silhouette, would just rotate (I mean it's obvious balls for a wide range of other reasons)

I used to work for Caroe & Partners, with people who knew Martin. Really interesting when I read this and saw amount of stuff that was at a point cutting edge conservation and now mad, e.g. mixes he suggests gauged with cement. Met stone masons brought up on this book and still holding true to it.

Visiting Lord Leycester Hospital in Warwick at end of defects - looking good!
Similar to those US traditional buildings, where you can see all the historic references, but thrown together without any appreciation (not that I don't kind of like it)
The second one is... intense...
