The 1st Adventure Zone I think is essential listening to get how Adventure Zone happened. I think for me it's partly that Hamlet was the 1st Shakespeare play I read, in class on a short student exchange to Canada with a teacher who discussed scenes by showing versions from various movie adaptations, which worked great for me. He was a very good teacher!

Joking aside, I think its popularity is part of what fascinates me abt the play. It seems to distill some sort of essence that is ultimately recognisable & relatable across widely different adaptations. The 'Bohemian Rhapsody' of plays.

Love's Labour's Lost! I saw the production David Tennant did the year he also did his RSC Hamlet; it was hilarious. It also starred Nina Sosanya so I had a very bisexual time in the audience. Man I miss living in the UK and getting to just go and see amazing actors in Shakespeare like it's normal 😩
