Let there be as much outrage from politicians in Washington when kids go hungry as there is when I break bread with New Yorkers.

If the government really is worried about Iranian sleeper cells, then it was probably a mistake to systematically reorient the majority of US counterterror resources toward arresting immigrant grandmothers and five-year-olds in bunny hats

1982 Bud Light ad depicting Spuds MacKenzie (an English terrier) wearing a college fraternity sweatshirt, sitting on a table with a chalice-style glass of Bud Light in front of him (the bottle is beside the glass). Spuds is wearing a paper cone party hat and is surrounded by streamers, confetti, and balloons.
Caption reads: Spuds MacKenzie, Bud Light's Original Party Animal, knows there's no better way to party than with an ice cold Bud Light. The light beer with the first in taste. So get up. Get down. Get funky. And party right with Bud Light. Everything else is just a light beer."
Ok, let's ignore the canine factor for a second.
Is this 1982 Bud Light ad saying that the "original party animal" a) brings steamers, balloons, and paper hats to a college kegger, or b) brings beer to like a kids birthday party?

Honba Amami Oshima Tsumugi, a Japanese silk textile with 1,300 years of history, meets Space Invaders pixel art — woven into the fabric by young artisans from Amami Island using the traditional kasuri technique, where a single misaligned thread renders the entire piece unusable.

How a High School Librarian in Abilene Fought Back Against Moms for Liberty
I entered this profession just as the storm clouds of the current book-banning push were starting to gather; now I’m in the middle of it.
“It isn’t that I’m more afraid of public speaking than death; it is that public speaking feels like it could cause my death. But I do it every month because I am a high school librarian in the state of Texas in times such as these.” 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

‘Hey’ came before ‘hi,’ and ‘hi' came before ‘hello.’
‘Hi’ is most likely a variant of ‘hey.’
‘Hello’ is not related to either.

Drawn poster for Umegatani Sake, 1926. Shows three sumo wrestlers standing close together, the front one holding a *giant* bottle of sake with both hands. A very thick white rope coils around his stomach and can be seen behind him as well, purpose unknown. The other wrestler on the left appears to be holding a katana-style sword. There is writing in Japanese that I cannot read.
Umegatani Sake, 1926. Apparently it came in Nebuchadnezzar size.
I have no idea what that white rope's all about.
