I'm almost 50 and in my lifetime I've witnessed Republicans doing appallingly egregious things, but I've never once seen voters punish them for it. Republicans do whatever the fuck they want and Republican voters just don't ever learn.
They are also largely easy to blackmail.

A young friend of mine who was a very fit marathon runner suddenly gained a lot of weight and even lost the use of her legs which went numb and was still undiagnosed for another year before they did any testing and found her entire spine full of the most aggressive tumors. She is dying.
This happens so often to young people that they have aggressive cancers but get dismissed and undiagnosed or misdiagnosed because the medical system can't accept diagnosing young people with anything other than "being fat."
I don't even want the men I know in my DMs.
They care so much about children that they are trying to fill an entire cabinet with child rapists and traffickers who vow to end health and safety for children.

The right of trans people to just exist safely should matter to literally everyone because we are human people who have the slightest bit of empathy and don't want to harm other people. Why is this so hard?

My friend, the Constitution is a piece of paper that lacks enforcement power. The way you uphold the Constitution is to not elect people who will violate it.

Unfortunately, this is really common for our queer kids to need to be homeschooled for safety reasons.
Fortunately there are thriving secular inclusive homeschool community pockets filled with queer kids to homeschool alongside because it's so common.

Homeschool isn't just for evangelicals afraid their children will be indoctrinated into kindness. It's also often a survival necessity for neurodiverse and/or LGBTQ kids. Not everyone is safe in schools.
I told my six year old that the people voted and that's what they chose. All of us are hurting right now, but some people think electing trump will help them feel better.
