Terry Pratchett in a blue jacket and Akubra hat holding a young owl for release.
Eleven years since you crossed the black sands. I wish I could say that the world is better than you left it (although it will always be better for having had you in it) but at least there is a new Young Sam to help carry on the Pratchett name and ethos. Love you always β€οΈ

I have heard (from someone who unlike me actually knows what she is talking about) that there are two reasons for that. One is the extra calories in alcoholic beverages, but the other is that apparently the alcohol changes the way you metabolise stuff, meaning you gain weightβ¦

To me, this is really good work, really understanding how agglomeration happens. Really cool stuff!!! ππ
BUT:
None of the treatments/drugs that reduce the amount of the agglomerated protein in the brain actually show positive benefits.
Which means that we do not have causality.

Yep, 100%. When we bought the place we have now, we were deciding whether or not to buy one in the suburbs, and use our bicycles, or buy something out more rural, and buy 1-2 cars. We chose the suburbs for a number of reasons, but that was definitely a factor.

After a week or so he started to smile and wave back too. After about a year of this, one day he waved me down to stop. He said βSorry, but do we know each other?β, and I replied βno, but from the happiness of your dog, and his clear love for you, I think you must be a good person.β

Agree completely⦠treating (other) animals with respect and care is kinda important.
True story. I cycle to work every day on cycle paths through parks. I had seen this guy walking his boxer many times. The boxer enjoyed his walk, and I started a low-key wave to the guy. (Continued).
