It was. π
It certainly is Geoff!
A cave or archway in an Island Mercury Bay the sky is blue the sea is blue green and the rock of the island is grey with red colours
Morning Geoff it's evening here. π
Today I have been snorkeling in the Pacific (I think) anyhow off a boat and through a sea cave and it wasn't cold (I don't do cold sea) π₯Ά We saw loads of fish, sea urchins and beautiful seaweed.
It really was Matt we have been so lucky with the weather at times we have needed it to be good. Tbh we only had rain when we were in Rotarua and Dunedin during the day but it didn't stop us doing stuff. π We had the right clothes π€£
View from the Coromandel peninsula across towards Weihecke Island and Auckland beyond. The sky is blue with a few clouds low on the horizon. The vegetation is green and lush.
Had a trip on Route 309 to Coromandel yesterday. It was a beautiful day and the views were amazing.

This photo taken on route 25
It seems nice and quiet to us but looking at old photos it was much much smaller in the 50s and 60s
It's brilliant we are up in Whitianga at the moment on Wednesday we move up to Auckland. We will be there until the 24 March (first flight we could get with Singapore Airlines). The UK Gov has said not to travel to Dubai and our original flights gave us a stop over there!
Nice house. π
Sorry IDK of anyone in Shropshire
a view of Cuba street showing a traffic light on red and no entry sign. Bright rainbow flags flutter down the middle of the street. The shops have brightly coloured signs and there is a graffiti tag high on a wall. The pavement is red brick and in the foreground a person in a light top is sitting.
Goodbye to Welly today it was a lovely city to visit next stop the Coromandel.
Sounds wonderful Kate. π
We would have loved that but my poor brain was boggled sorting flights home. Nevermind maybe we will get to visit again someday? π
What we see here is Donald Trump, acting as he always does, as a global chaos generator.
The further we stand away from that, the better off we will be.
Well said @georgemonbiot.bsky.social π

Yay for that A π
Yep π³
I've just seen a piece of research about the 'surprising bias' against women in AI and guys, there's nothing surprising about it. It's literally a bias compounding machine. It will entrench and deepen the biases that are already there.
Absolutely π but I live in Wellington in the UK so if we could just arrange a convenient portal between the two it would be amazing π
We are off to Coromandel tomorrow after a flight to Auckland after that we have some more time up in Auckland as we can't actually get home on our original flights due to geopolitics! π³
They were fab but the ones in Dunedin were also fab. We love a good garden π
For sure Kate shame we couldn't have hopped over to Australia for a few days. π
We have been to Zealandia today it's a fantastic place for wildlife spotting π
Thanks Kate via Singapore but having 10 extra days here as flights were either booked up or 1st class fares only π³ π
She is high on the list of Women I Dislike along with Suella
They are beautiful π
A starlike rich magenta dahlia flower with multi layers of pointy tip petals at my sunny window. Some of the petals are illuminated by the sunlight. Some of the petals have white streaks on them.
Dreams are made of this!
Gonna get all the dahlia tubers out of the storage & start potting them soon. I'll have 4 of this dahlia plants this yr. Can't wait for rich plum color beauties to grace my garden!

A view along a path towards a duck pond in the distance are tall pines. On the left a tree with yellow and orange leaves and a bank covered in decorative grasses. To the right more trees and a park bench.
Fabulous day yesterday in the Wellington Botanical Gardens. New Zealand Aotearoa seems to have some amazing green spaces in towns and cities.
Yes it's nice up in Welly π
Don't tell him what? π€£
Belated and the same to you! Currently stuck in New Zealand as Emirates not flying π³
Oh that's sad news I expect there could be more! Enjoyed meeting you and indeed Andrew and Dan. I think we felt at home. We managed a flight through Singapore but we are having to stay longer in Auckland than we had first planned.
