What folds up into a GW box, I assume
Kill Team is super fun and the board size feels spot on for that game. But it's Kill Team, it's not 40k
I've not played Necromunda in a very long time but I feel like that probably benefits from a smaller board as well
That feels especially weird since KT doesn't even have weapon range
Eh, it is what it is. I shall continue to play on my big weird table. It's not hard to work out the right proportions for deployment and objectives
Oh you might be right, actually. 5' by... 3' 8"?
I remember back in the day 4'x4' was for 1000 points and it was 4x6 for anything bigger. The idea of any dimension being under 4 foot is peculiar to me
I only discovered today when playing a game that a regulation 40k table is 60x40 and that is nonsense
It's 6 foot by 4 foot. What is this small nonsense they're playing at tournaments these days?
Get on my lawn. It's 30% larger by area, there's room
My Absolute Martian Manhunter issue 2 cover in DC Comics April Solicitations! By @denizcamp.bsky.social and me.
The poster for Alien Romulus
Movie #7: Alien Romulus
I've seen remakes. I've seen reboots. I've seen belated sequels
I don't think I've ever seen a movie before that I could reasonably describe as a greatest hits album
What a completely weird movie to make. I didn't hate it, but I genuinely don't know what to make of it
A hazy deep fried image of the band the B-52s
For reasons beyond my comprehension, we aren't worshipping the B-52s as deities
This is why people say we don't have a culture
The poster for Tromeo and Juliet
Movie #6: Tromeo and Juliet
As with all Troma movies it's a wonderfully scuzzy mess
It's also a movie that is definitely *on purpose*. It even occasionally manages to be kinda visually arresting in ways that are sincerely impressive rather than accidentally
Poster for the movie Love Lies Bleeding
Movie #5: Love Lies Bleeding
The worst collection of haircuts you've ever seen in your life star in a squalid, grimy and surprisingly whimsical comedy thriller.
Worth watching to see how affronted Kristen Stewart looks every time someone points a gun at her
Godzilla Minus One Poster
Movie #3: Godzilla Minus One
In which Godzilla is a metaphor for PTSD, and it is all genuinely very emotional. Enjoyed it so much I didn't even let the occasionally duff CG distract me.
Much.
I do love the title track from Ash, fair play
Deployment for an Ultramarines vs T'au game
Some T'au in their deployment zone
A Coldstar Commander facing off against Roboute Guilliman
Some Pathfinders and Stealth Suits hiding in some ruins
Gave my T'au their first proper run today. Lost 80-76 but it was a really great game it it could have gone either way.
Biggest lesson I learned is I need to be a bit more aggressive, I think. Kept too much at the back

A poster for the movie Heretic. Hugh Grant is in the background, reaching out towards two carved dolls in the foreground
Movie #2: Heretic
One of those movies where the writer's hand is annoyingly visible. More than one scene involves terrified teenagers making the sort of deductive leaps that would make Steven Moffat's Sherlock wince
Hugh Grant is having huge fun, though
A poster for the movie Timestalker, featuring a woman's head with a giant pink heart-shaped wig and an eyepatch. She's blowing bubblegum
OK, let's see if I can do one of these movie threads this year and see if I can actually keep it up
First movie: Timestalker!
I like Alice Lowe a lot, and this is a movie with a really interesting concept and some cool visuals. Unfortunately, I think the script was a bit weak
I was a projectionist for a few years, before it all went digital. That was fun, although I spent most of my time playing PokΓ©mon.
I once found an empty box or Toffifee in the gents cubicle and I'm just like... Did someone sit there and eat those? The whole box?
... Are they OK?
Rarely had anything that bad. Probably the silliest one was when some bloke walked in about 11pm and started filling a bag of pick n mix. Went absolutely mad at me when I explained we'd cashed up the tills and couldn't sell anything
Used to get a lot of complaints about the safety lighting being too bright. Had some bloke lecture me about lux levels once
Mate, I work in a cinema. I didn't pick the bulbs
I also worked at a cinema. Someone once demanded a refund because they'd say through the entire of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull during the once a week showing with subtitles, and apparently that was distracting
Still watched it all, though!
I've had customers insisting that they can't possibly drive a smaller car, because they have kids
Like families don't make do with small cars. My mum had a Corsa when I was a kid!
I once had someone complain the courtesy car they'd been given was white, because they'd "look like a hairdresser"
*Won't be
Won't he her car. I work in the motor trade and without reading ten article I can guess what's happened here
The wiring in her car has been chewed on by rodents, which can happen. She's refusing to pay for it because she doesn't think she should have to. The Corsa will be a courtesy car
I owned that comic! I recall the whole thing being oddly horny, although I was 13 at the time so possibly my hormonal brain focused on those elements. I recall the villain having some sort of... Sex pistol
The show was daft fun, although I recall it all feeling covered in too many layers of irony
One of the most underrated bands in British history
Saw Ginger do a solo set once. I've never seen people crowd surf at an acoustic show before
Sent you a DM :)
A Norn Assimilator, a Trygon, A Techmarine and Iron Father Feirros (who will be kitbashed into an alt Techmarine)
OK that's it. Definitely not buying anything new for a while. I have enough. Absolutely no need to add anything. I will be resolute.
