Over the last few days, a massive Saharan dust plume over Western Europe has been transforming ordinary sunsets into impressive colourful displays, even causing the Sun and its sunspots to be visible to the naked eye (and photo camera) without filters.

Onlangs las ik: “the US are addicted to war.” en dat is gewoon zo. De VS hebben gewoon oorlog nodig want alles is in hun ogen een strijd die moet gewonnen worden. Desnoods zoeken we een strijd waar er geen is. En zo kan men ineens de industriële oorlogsmachine een bestaansreden geven. Handig.

Here’s a good view of the part of BRU where yesterday’s incident took place: RWY 07R, where #SK2590 should have taken off from, and just next to it you see the taxiway where the SAS A321neo was taking off from, including the more narrow TWY V1 where the flight rejected its takeoff.

Yesterday evening, #SK2590 began its departure roll while on a taxiway parallel to the runway. Preliminary data shows at maximum speed of 107 kt prior to braking. The aircraft stopped before lifting off and passengers disembarked via air stairs. fr24.com/data/flights...
On Thursday evening 5 February 2026, Scandinavian flight SK2590 from Brussels to Copenhagen, operated with Airbus A320neo SE-ROM, attempted a takeoff from TWY E1 instead of RWY 07R. It aborted its takeoff at high speed and came to a full stop. All pax were evacuated.
