This interview with the great @rebeccasolnit.bsky.social was a "wow" moment for me. Thanks, New York Times and David Marchese.

I couldn't help noticing the question that seemed the most Times-like to me.

Here's the trailer:
Farage and the US Religious Right are celebrating policy wins here - and there's been a huge rise in prosecutions for abortion.
Please email your MP and ask them to support Stella Creasy's amendment to decriminalise abortion; we've made it so easy for you. action.goodlawproject.org/decriminalis...
I see that the UK gov is now to demand that anyone wishing to come and live in the UK must learn to speak English. I presume that the Spanish government will now follow suit and require all those Brits who wish to live in Spain to learn Spanish - or Catalan, as the case may be. Seems only fair.
well done lads for publishing this on the hottest May 01 since records began
SORRY. Sorry.
Have we seen this *incredible* news video coming out of Queensland? Wait for the witness/witnesses statement

Word of the day is ‘quiddler’ (18th century): one who focuses on unimportant issues while avoiding the important ones, or who fiddles/plays golf while Rome burns.
France raises a fascinating hypothetical point: what if the law still exists even if people might get mad at you
Trans rights are human rights 🏳️⚧️
On #TransDayOfVisibility — and every day — we celebrate trans people and reaffirm the fight for a world where they can live freely, without discrimination or hate.
Whenever people blame ‘overpopulation’ for poverty/climate/low quality of life I always ask them ‘who do you want to stop having kids?’.
Any response that doesn’t require a solution that tackles poverty, inequality, misogyny clearly displays their fascism and often racism
This is great news. Unfortunately your stadiums look rather like coffins ⚰️ at a glance
We took over the giant screen at Farage’s big rally in Birmingham
Fascinating - I’m genuinely very surprised by how low these percentages are.
It's been a long time since Private Eye's satire has made me audibly wince, but this is so to the point if it were a knife people would demand it be banned.
When an institution removes fundamental values you have to assume they believe the opposite
We used to boycott South Africa for apartheid.
👍 very chuffed to inspire a smile. Precious few to be had all told.
57 companies are responsible for 80% of global greenhouse gas emissions since 2016.
These companies include fossil fuel giants like Chevron, Shell, and BP, who have been raking in record profits.
The profits of Big Oil should not be more important than the future of our planet.
A six-panel cartoon titled "real and implied birds". In the two panels in the top row, there's a rough legged-hawk sailing through the sky, next to a smooth legged hawk, which has smooth human legs. In the second row, there's a great-crested flycatcher looking dapper, next to an ok-crested flycatcher that has just a slightly less nice crest. In the third row, there's a mountain chickadee standing up on stones, next to a valley chickadee peeking out from a dip between stones. In the fourth row, there's a least bittern standing in some reeds, next to a most bittern that is enormous and stomping through a city, with people running in fear, helicopters overhead, and an overturned car on fire.
Another thing I made this year: Real and implied birds.
Some excellent covers in here. Hadn’t heard The Breeders’ version of one of my favourite Beatles songs.
Keep scrolling till you get to The Beatles covers list - some absolute legends including Cornershop’s Norwegian Wood
