Music seems to have gone in a number of different directions since the 90’s. Traditional rock got more serious, Hip Hop emerged, Country went mainstream, a revival of Pop with Brittney Spears and her contemporaries. 11/

1984 – 1989: Big Hair 80’s
All rock stars now had to have big hair and plunging necklines.

1980 - 1983: Rebirth of Rock
Rock and Roll escapes the darkness of disco.

A dark period (IMO) for rock and roll…..

Here is how I think it lays out properly – though it clearly isn’t as clear cut as this. Different genres overlap eras, and there are sub-eras as well. I am sure many will disagree with the names and divisions. I would welcome other’s thoughts. I am by no means an expert at popular music. 2/

Music Eras
We tend to look at music in decades. The 60’s, the 70’s, the 80’s. But I don’t believe music eras really match the decades. In fact, a new era seems to tend to often start in the middle of a decade. 1/

For what it is worth, I sent a letter to the IRS explaining why I wasn't paying them (there doesn't seem to be an appeal process), and contacted my Congressman and both Senators.

This should be a news story. I am sure it is happening often

Well, this is fun. I received a CP14 notice from the IRS saying I didn't pay my taxes owed. But I did! And the check got cashed! My daughter had the same thing happen and called the IRS who said that since they are short staffed, they didn't open the mail for a month. Thanks Elon!

Just finished Season 3 of the TV series. Seems to me that since the series deviated quite a bit from the books, and compressed perhaps 10 books into 3 seasons, one more season could close the whole thing out. Perhaps another streaming service could pick it up?
