I don’t understand why CBS lawyers warned Colbert would violate the FCC equal time rule by interviewing Talarico. Couldn’t the show eventually have on his opponents? Why would equal time preclude having on a specific candidate? Time still flows in a forward direction, right? Or has that also broken?
