I talk about daylight savings as much as Cate Blanchett talks about leaf blowers. And I hate those too.

This is the week we add an hour of daylight to the hottest part of the day?

I remember a time when I wasn’t afraid of summer or phones. I dislike rising temperatures and I dislike carrying every person I’ve ever come into contact with around in my hand where they can reach me in multiple ways. Luddite? I’d go further. Let me creep backwards into the sea and become a fish.

My doctor’s office likes to have me fill out surveys and this latest asked what my sexuality is. There were maybe 9 options, one being “I don’t know” which I selected because it was the closest to “I don’t care.” I’m expected to have a sexuality in these dark days? I don’t care!

I do want to get work done (yes I manage to be vain even in the darkest of times - it’s called multitasking) but I also suspect that filler might make me look exactly like Kristi Noem. Like if you extracted her filler would you reveal my raisin head? I can give myself nightmares just by thinking.
