I hope you're exited to read some comics reviews this fall (Kickstarter in April) because I'm gonna be writing some!

hell yeah!!
A three-panel meme of Ebeneezer Scrooge in Muppet Christmas Carol shouting from his window at Bean Bunny: "You there, boy! What day is it!" The second panel has been edited to have Bean say: "Why, it's Threshold Day" "Then I haven't missed it!" Scrooge cries happily in the third panel.
Happy 30th anniversary www.polygon.com/star-trek/52...
My first piece for @mothership.blog! www.mothership.blog/dragon-age-g...
I pitched this back when Veilguard was coming out but we ran out of time and Maddy's been hounding me for it ever since. I'm very excited to have it up and on MADDY's NEW SITE
which you should sub to
We created a Starter Pack so you can follow all of our contributors at once! If you see a name in here that isn't on the site yet, stay tuned... their stories will be going live in the coming days! go.bsky.app/GUEXLYQ
oh in a nutshell I think the ending of the War Plotline completely undercuts all the good work the movie is otherwise doing. It's still imperialism if superheroes do it instead of a government. Maybe all that's set up for an Authority movie or something but if so it's not worth it bc previous
We'd never have low-rez comic art in Doom's America
Journalist @susanapolo.bsky.social joined Off Panel to discuss post-Polygon living and comic topics we wished we could have written about/seen more discussion of, like: Reversed comic movie energies! The muted comics conversation! Worldcon! Crossover mania! Expanding genres! More!
I will think of this comic every time the Bronze Age Collapse comes up for the rest of my life which granted is not usually that frequent but my statement stands regardless
I would be remiss not to say that I got my pattern at this Etsy shop, which has more than two dozen cross stitch transit maps patterns from around the world: www.etsy.com/shop/PlanetR...
The lack of shock on my face when the 8 Billion Genies writer told me he used to be in contract law.
New from me on PW! I chatted with @charlessoule.bsky.social about Daredevil: Cold Day in Hell, Lucky Devils, morality, good and evil, and rules lawyering. www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/...
It's not done, next washing it to get the grid lines out and then to backstitching in all the station names etc but that is an infinitely preferable activity to 44,703 stitches of the same color in a solid block
It took two years (with other projects in between) but I've finished 44,703 stitches of DMC 162 β Very Light Blue that make up all the waterways on my 20-inch wide cross stitch map of the NYC subway system.
If I never touch another skein of 162 again it'll be too soon
ZoΓ« don't make me emotional
VERY excited to be writing a piece on Dragon Age and the emotional value of restricting player agency that's been percolating in the back of my head for a decade plus β and for the debut of a VERY COOL BLOG!!!

Deleted old reply cause I mistook which post you were replying to. Legit crit, but as I'm not a big webcomics reader nor the sole contributor to this list β can't really answer that question for ya.

This is honestly all it takes to get me to write for you: just show up in my inbox. Ya girl has basically never not been on staff and so does not have strong freelance pitching muscles!
New from me; my buddy @rollinbishop.com offered me a home for some end of year comics takes and so I blabbed about Absolute Martian Manhunter, a comic that's knocked my socks off every issue. www.gamesradar.com/comics/dc-co...
I'm gonna be honest with you I forgot there was another one until after I hit post
It's not that my dad doesn't watch TV, he watches sports and classic film CONSTANTLY. This machine longs for death.
Someday he will finally go on a camping trip at a time when I have money and I am going to home invasion him with a new flatscreen that costs 40% of what this thing did in 2004.
Panasonic so old it's got a front facing VGA port. Also front panel ports for SD cards and PC cards.
The back has one (1) HDMI port.
No worries about motion smoothing at the Polo homestead, but only because my father hasn't bought a new television since George Bush was president.
I applaud the true absurdist who asked themselves "Is the Grinch nude?" and answered "NO, but he wears pants that make him APPEAR nude."

A few years ago I told a friend that Love, Actually is the modern medieval nativity play and they've never forgiven me for being so correct
New from me! I chatted with writer @adamhrose.bsky.social e on he and @magentaking.bsky.social's trippy series Huge Detective for PW: www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/...
Imagine True Detective, but one of the buddy cops is the size of a skyscraper and knows the taste of human flesh.
